Actually, the only member of Queen who WILLINGLY choose NOT to sing on ANY of their studio recordings was bass guitarist John Deacon. When performing live, however, he DOES sing but the volume on his microphone was set SO LOW that you couldn't hear him AT ALL.

Let's not forget the African link here. The lead singer Farrokh Bulsara, was born in Zanzibar, Tanzania. I believe he had musical training, but he appears to have learned to sing on his own.

I must have heard this song five hundred times over the years, and EVERY, SINGLE, TIME, I find myself in giddy anticipation just before Roger's incredible vocals at the end. Freddie is badass, but Roger owned that part of the song.
The story goes that Freddie wore a Superman shirt, but Superman wore a Freddie shirt :-)
