Very satisfying to see you at work! Almost jealous to see your lift has one of those armrests with the controls built in, none of ours in our department have that lol
you make operating a forklift look easy... but i've seen those "idiots at work" vids and operating a forklift ain't easy... keep up the nice "easy looking" work
I’ve been an operator for 5 years, and it ain’t super hard, just takes time to master. Just like driving a car, it’s scary learning to drive, but over time you don’t really think about it. Same with forklift operation, you just need to be aware of your surroundings and don’t rush things. Speed comes in time.
I’ve seen it happen many times (I’ve been the one driving the truck). It’s annoying but I usually just help them restack the ply or lumber back on and get it out of there especially on job sites. In the yard it’s no biggie they’ll restrap it together with those bands.
I've seen that happen, most places your not part of the crew really till you drop something. I remember my first forklift job I dropped one pallet about 2-3 weeks in taking a turn in reverse just a bit too fast, everyone started cheering like I did something good lol then one guy came up patted me on the back said welcome to the crew, start cleaning lol
Got my forklift cert here in Australia, getting it was easy enough finding a job and even somewhere to practice with no experience was much harder then getting a job with my Heavy rigid lic I got at the same time.
i wish drivers were nice like this guy. the ones that come to my shop just park somewhere and demand attention and always get mad when i tell them what door to pull into.

I'm gonna get the forklift certification but my greatest fear would be to let the load fall and causing a domino chain . nice work like a pro
