I work in a Lowes Lumber Dept too and I'm curious of how thin these forks are, we have very thick forks on our lifts and it makes it harder to just pull out between two bunks. These forks have to be a bit slimmer.
First thing I do after coming home from a hard day's work at a lumber yard: watching a video of a guy working at a lumber yard 😂 You're very skilled with a forklift by the way
I move the same stuff i just work at the Interfor plant pretty cool to see the whole process unfold, we use taylor 160, good operating on that small lift tho
Your last packs had me stumped…why reverse to the right to then drive forward to then turn left to go in the same direction you were when you reversed right? Would it not have been easier reversing left, then drive forward…other then that…well there was the other two packs before that but yeah, nice vid. Just a side note.,.,you have to be pretty bored to watch this stuff but it’s nice to see good operators at the levers.
I work in a Lowe's Lumber department and I feel like this video made me a better forklift driver. Thanks for uploading this.
Glad you enjoyed it!

i appreciate it! I wish i was still operating that BEAST!
at my workplace we use a combilift for timber but you're very efficient with just a forklift, very satisfying
Appreciate it!
@@waggatagga are you enjoying your Monday evening off, missing the forklift haha
You're really professional, great video man! Congrats.
Thank you so much 👍
I just got hired to a lumber yard in Hawai’i I’m stoked to get back on the forklift and do what I do best
Good luck man!

I’m 2 months in and I’m doing amazingly good thank you for your videos to motivate me again
@@waggatagga
Update from a year ago I still at the same lumberyard doing my thing
@ let’s go Ken I’m proud of you brother
Keep making these vids man they are nice
means a lot i appreciate it!
My first day tomorrow... Warning up with your video.
Good to hear! Goodluck tomorrow. Let me know how it goes
great video
So you're a yard associate. Is this what you do all day? Just load and unload trailers? Or are there more complicated tasks that come up frequently
mainly unload/load trailers and when im not doing that im building lumber orders to be sent out to customers
@@waggatagga are the orders very complex to load? Or is it straightforward like just find the right lumber and place it on the trailer

appreciate the support!
How you like them armrest/fingertip controls over the traditional?
Took me a minute to get used to. I feel like the traditional gears are more fluid and not so touchy. The finger controls are sensitive.
3:14 Why back up and straighten up instead of just shifting the forks over to the left some?
No side shifters on our lifts unfortunately
Which 84 Lumber is this? Lincoln?
In Georgia
what is the forklift that you are using? do you recommend it? thanks
It’s a Yale model GDP060 and yes I recommend it
@@waggatagga Good machine and I like the videos. I use this: Toyota Traigo 80 electric forklift (4 wheels, 3t capacity).
oddly satisfying
thx brotha
What do y’all do when it rains ?
Keep working. If it storms too bad we just wait it out until it stops.

More so I didn’t want to reverse in the direction of the truck driver who was standing at the cab
Damn. I thought I was fast!
Hahahaha me too, the guy is great!
my hair covers my earbuds as well lol
Gotta stay incognito 🥸
