God, I love this man. He is far and away one of my favorite actors currently on TV and by far my favorite "new" actor (came into fame in the last 10 years). He is just so funny, humble, and sweet. I'd love to just have tea with him.
A very first time I see this actor , as here in Argentina , I do not watch much tv ... But this guy is great , down to hearth , cute , aprochable, has all the ingredients to make him very lovable . I hope and wish him a long and bright career !!
How can a theater geek raised in the South not be proud of this man? To make a career of acting is one thing, but the work he has done since that damn Quizno's commercial...wow. So much growth from the play to the film adaptation of The Normal Heart but just as humble.
On this interview he still has that struggling actor mentality. You're gonna be fine jim, just keep being awesome. And btw he should get some lead roles on movies. He deserves it
I don't think he has anything to worry about, like so many British Actors who switch from comedy to drama and back--he simply has the skills to make it appear seamless. Love him to BITS! ^____^
I would reeeealy love to see this play. My first run-in with Harvey was when the movie first came out. My folks had gone to see it, and I guess I was just awake enough to hear them talk about it. My dream that night was Elwood sitting on a front porch swing, and Harvey lying in a hammock above him. I think Jim Parsons will play Dowd beautifully. Even as Sheldon, he has that tiny little spark of purity that Dowd has. So we just have to forget Jimmy Stewart and listen to Parsons.
I agree. Even on 5:41 the host asks him about wether that is a present threat... I don't think so, but I do believe its gonna be a real challenge for him to not remain stuck to the character.
It's so difficult to picture him as anything other than Sheldon. And that's not coz he's a bad actor, it's just that he does Sheldon so well and the character is so believable that I always think of him as Sheldon Copper..
I just keep getting this image of Jim performing Hamlet in his mother's back yard. Jim: To be or not to be, that is the (The back doors opens.) Laurie Metcalf: Jim, go home, or I'm calling the cops!
I wonder if the plays are recorded? I mean, a theater can only hold so many people and it'd be a shame for the performance to become a memory in this limited number of minds and then get lost forever in the sands of time :x ...besides, I can't afford to watch the play on Broadway, but I so wanna! >_
After a quick google search it turns out that Amazon and other places sell Broadway plays on DVD. Couldn't find either The Normal Heart or Harvey though =( At least The Normal Heart is being made into a movie and Jim is going to reprise his role :D
I don't even know who to call or contact about filming. But it should be! I thought I wouldn't like him as Elwood (even though I love him in BBT) But seeing the little blurb on the net, I think he's going to do a good job. If you hear anything about recording, let me know. I'll do the same here.

0 dislikes. Not possible for anyone to dislike him. :)
What makes BBT different from other shows is that it's witty and the situations aren't so random.
짐이 뭐라고 하는지 모르겠지만,말할 때 오물거리는 게 너무 귀여워요!!♥♥

Well perhaps Jim Parsons is no the genious Sheldon Cooper is but certainly the weird sense of humour of Sheldon is 100% Jimmy's :)
Another "He's Thirty-Eight"? He really doesn't look like he has to shave. I'd love to have that complexion.
I love Shelldon!!!!!!
