I loved my time in Belize six years ago. Tropic air was a bonus! We had a amphibious caravan at River air in Minaki when I was guiding up north. Can't wait to go back to Belize!
We actually absolutely loved Belize and really enjoyed spending a week with Tropic Air and everyone who works there! so much so that our Film Director wants to make Belize his next vacation destination!
Cool video, did you use the suction cup mount for the exterior flight footage? I use it on my TBM850 and the Caravan but I am afraid to mount it in the prop wash.
Flew from Cancun to Belize International @ 10,000 ft in a Tropic Air Caravan ( G1000 cockpit) Beautiful views of the Mexican coast. Then we hopped another Caravan from there to San Pedro at a whole 1500 ft. for 14 minutes. Great flights, both. Nice terminal and great pilots and staff. I believe I'll order this vid.
I love that plane...its a tractor I know, but just big and tame like a big Greatdane.I bought myself one from Carenado and are always happy to fly it.From now on I.m a also a keen fan of Tropic Air. And Ps....I am only using the Tropic air logo from now on....+ 1 like !
Thank you! Blu-ray is a disc, not really a level of quality... but yes they're both HD and very similar except the download you get right away and you can play it on a multitude of things from a phone to a TV...
I enjoyed the full video, but the new format of downloading was very, very disappointing. The image quality and scenes are fantastic, but only limiting my viewing to a single device and not allowing me to watch it on a large screen high definition television left me feeling that I was missing so much of the videos potential.
Actually Michael our customers are watching the downloads on multiple devices, thats why you have multiple downloads allowed, and customers are watching them on their TVs as well... so thats all possible...
I'm not a member of Tropic Air, I just know a lot because its my country's airline.I do believe there is currently an training program happening where you fly and earn hours toward the FAA requirements. I'm not too knowledgeable of the details but you can reach out and ask. Mr Fly Boy
Turbine engines are defiantly more reliable than piston engines, but they are designed, built and maintained by men it is impossible for them to be 100 percent reliable, I realize there are places where only aircraft like the Cessna Caravan can operate and thats the nature of the beast, but to suggest the Caravan is just as safe as a well designed twin like the King Air is a completely false statement. Operators buy Caravans because they are cheaper to fly not because they are safer. Check out the Caravan accidents in Alaska.

I hope you enjoyed our little country and consider going back for more. I know thevpilots and staff a Tropic Air had a blast.

This looks great! Love these smaller operator videos. Will be picking this one up soon. Is the HD download the same quality as the Blueray ? Thanks

Brilliant :-)
Cool vid! Love to fly with you some day.
How often does your MX dept. do compressor washes or rinses on the turbine engines ?

Thank you. I will try that.
With that type of short runway at 1,800 ft, how is the performance at high humidity?
Performance isn't bad. They would use about 14-1500 ft fully loaded. The humidity there is ridiculously high.
Thank you. Also what would be the requirements to become a member of your flying team?

You must have must more fun by flying these "little" aeroplanes instead the bigger Airbuses or Boeings. ;-)
