Hey! Did you use the wheel bearing press kit to install the trailing arm ball joints, lower control arm metal sleeve, and to remove the old diff bushings? Also how did you remove all of the bushings before getting the suspension components powder coated?
Thank you, I welded 2 plates on the subframe to reinforce the part where the sway bar mounts. Those on the chassis are for prevention. You can see it in part 2 but the previous owner already welded those in so I don’t have to. 😂
@@TJS36 oh ! Lucky ! I wish my previous reinforced mine :( 300k kms on the clock, and to this point they hold up fine, but im scared they will crack soon... Mine is also an avus blue coupe with ap coilovers. 320i tho.
@@yaron1998 Mine is also over 300K kms, so I highly recommend taking a look at the state of your subframe. You will see it in part 2, mine was in really bad condition...
@@TJS36 its at the mechanic right now to get it aligned for street use, ill ask him to take a look at it :) thanks for letting me know. im curious to see part 2 :D
Cost me about £200 but I painted the parts myself and didn't change the wheel bearings. Made a huge difference, car feels so much tighter. I would also recommend using Strongflex bushes, much cheaper than Powerflex but really good quality.

imagine if u won't replace ur 20 years old / more subframe bushings you just refresh ur Suspenssion with Coilovers , Your subfram will be getting Jealous 😂😂 , In instagram they make memes like that

Yes, I used that tool to press all the old bushings out and new ones in👌
Do you have a product link for the orange full set wedges you bought?
What tools did you use to do the job?
Nice vid !!! Im looking forward to part 2 ! The plates you are going to weld in, are they preventive or has your chassis got cracks ?

I don’t actually have that right now, maybe I should create that some day
But if you have any questions you can send me a DM on Instagram: @tjs36
@@TJS36 thank you! Just did
Hey what are the torque specs for the rear subframe bolts my manual doesn’t have it
Looks great! Are you also going to do a cost breakdown? I'd be interested to see how much it costs, because I'd like to do it myself too
Thank you! Maybe that's a good idea

@@CYMRU619 thanks for the info and the tip!
Yeah you can do it pretty cheap. I went for the complete different path and replaced almost everything
Did you buy all the bushings as a kit?
Would love a link! :)
