12 steps (+ Bonus) of how to make a Free Bird edit:
1. Download an editing program (and pay for the subscription)
2. Download the Free Bird audio
3. Download the clips you want to edit
4. Drag the music into the program
5. Drag the clips into the program
6. Crop out the music to the best part
7. Sprinkle some audio effects for the music (eg. Free Bird playing on radio) then switch to normal audio
8. Make some transitions
9. Synchronize the effects (eg. gunshots, sword clangs) with the beat
10. Make the thumbnail
11. Upload your edit that took 69 hours to edit
12. Sit back and relax as your video breaks 2 world records
Bonus: if you have the hardware, edit in 4k/1440p

How did you pick/find the clips with impact sounds that so closely align with the beat?
Do you have an encyclopedic memory for the percussive nature of action scenes?
I'm a musician and quite rhythmically focused and this seems pretty impressive.
After a while of editing, the clips just start living in my brain so if I think of like a fight move I can usually remember a film with that. But then sometimes if I can't think of anything, I just watch through some clips until something seems right
But yeah, when I'm watching a fight, I'm usually listening to the sounds to see if they're clean and to see if it's got like an almost musical rhythm to it
