To think that this was coming up to 12 years ago is something amazing, these 5 boys, who are best friends, were still only babies starting out with this band and performing on this size stage to this amount of people of about 300/400, to now selling out well known venue's and to becoming headliners and selling out festivals such as Download. They put so much time and effort into what this band has become and has given Avenged Sevenfold a very good fucking name in the music industry. It just proves that your dreams can come true no matter what age you are and these boys are prime examples of it by living their dream. This is why I have so much love for this band, great music, great performances just great everything.

I love when the "new" fans of A7X see this music and are beside themselves. Those first albums were great from start to finish. The new stuff is OK, kind of mainstream like a mixture of Metallica and Guns N Roses (vocals), but this stuff was unique. Maybe I was more impressionable back then and maybe that's why the new generation loves the new stuff.

They then said the album after that will be all singing. They said all of this in their All Access DVD, check it out
A7X Forever , they are beast and awesome , Matt can scream there, but not now because he had vocal surgery after this tour and he wanted waking the fallen album to be half sing half scream , best video from this tour keep rocking a7x FoREVer

Matt Shadows DID have surgery in his throat area, due to (at least in part) screaming improperly. None of the albums are truely all screaming. But yes, the full screaming, half screaming, full singing thing is also true. They no longer write music with the intentions of screaming, but certain songs DO have screams, and old songs with screaming played live are now screamed again.
I'm sorry, but I can't understand how anyone can like this better than their newer albums. This band's music has matured so much since the first 2 albums both in lyrical content and musicality. It makes no sense to me that anyone can enjoy a song like Second Heartbeat or Darkness Surrounding over something like SIdewinder, Strength of the World, or Brompton Cocktail. I'm not insulting anyone that enjoys it. I'm just expressing my opinion.

The stage and nightmare aren't very mainstream so I'd definitely say they got back to their own style. HTTK was definitely very similar to Metallica.
