This song was written in such a way that the longer you've been listening to it the harder the lyrics hit you everytime. Because each time you return to this song, time has taken a little bit more from you since the last time. After all, that's what this songs all about. I have Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and I don't remember this song being on it. I think you might be mistaking this for To End of Rapture, which was remade when Synister Gates joined the band and was on re-releases of Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.

I can't believe 'The Reverend', the drummer, Jimmy Sullivan, wrote almost every song on the first two albums of this bands history. He was incredible. He made this band what it is today. Honestly, I thought he was just one of incredible drummers of history; I had no idea, he was also a creative genius.

Wow, I've only over the past few months began digging into their older stuff (looking for dark music with screaming). I've mostly listened to their newer stuff up until now and to me it's hard to believe there was a time when A7X had a style that would fit in with a record label like Hopeless. These guys are a phenomenal band and all their stuff is great. \m/
THey were great, but the greatness faded with Awaken the fallen. I bought city of evil hoping bat country was the only song without screaming... Needless to say i snapped that album in half and never looked back. i suppose we still have the first 2 albums. Trivium & All that remains are on the same sellout pussy shit-list
