I was definitely trained on whatever this game emulates cause the moment I took my first instance of damage I just understood the cycle. There is a certainty to the dance in the game that is kiting to get a good lineup for your skills/autos to shred a crowd. Getting to know the scalings on weapons/skills once you attune yourself around the game gets really rewarding as well, plus the freedom around replacing any weapon’s stat scaling for a fee of specific consumable is pretty great!
btw if you want to do a hit and run, increase dexterity, it's a plus to stamina, both crits (physic, magic), and more damage to ranged weaponry aka bows and only bows Edit: Also, try sweeping the levels and getting some secret keys (some map distributions in catacombs have the chance of secret rooms, just think if it's parkourable)
dex also boosts the double daggers damage, and with certain items (the might/mind/dex stones) you can change any weapons scaling to any offense stat (i.e. dex) meaning you can actually use any weapon if you really wanna, any class can also get any mastery book for any weapon type once you hit 10, so youre not even limited by just your classes main weapons. main thing that you cant change damage wise is abilities, those are fixed, but afaik you absolutely can do like, a mage with a big ol axe, or a dex based sword, or hell even a strength bow (if only we could make weapon damage scale with your hp stat hahahah)
game looks interesting but honestly from all content Iv seen its just running away simulator. This games damage seems all over the place and much like souls games instead of scaling difficulty they just throw more enemies at you to compensate. I understand this is early access maybe Ill check it out in a year or so. Looks like they spent all the development time on character creation and not enough on game mechanics and balancing,.
I've played this game before it's on Steam, and if I can describe my experience playing it, it's honestly more of a crowd control game. You'll be managing crowds of enemies and set them up so you can damage all of them or parry all of their attacks at once (the parry window is much more generous than most games with the mechanic), just about every attack except early game bows have a flavor of AoE attached to it, and basic attacks are mostly relegated to damaging stunned enemies unless you're either going for a hit-and-run tactic or is confident that you can consistently stunlock them.
"Why are they all built like a mommy?" Because the dev has a type and BY GOD IS IT GOING TO BE KNOWN!
We shortstack and tall ladies enjoyers are eating GOOD
Yeah, this is why I'm going back to that boss at lv 13.
In a game like ATLYSS you always gotta remember the five D's of dungeon sweeping: Dodge Duck Dip Dive & Dodge!
0:31 you can put your consumables onto your bar so use them with a click of a button
On the bottom right bar
Also just realized you figured that out during the boss fight lmao

You: ZAMN! 😛
Spend some points in vitality. you get 4 hp for each point invested. You'll literally more than double your current health with just 10 points in.
just don't get hit 9999999Head
you can turn into a 500 HP ultratank with nothing but vitality and your damage barely suffers as a fighter lol
Furry Dark Souls where EVERYONE is mainlining crack.
Its best to be level 10 so you get your class before doing the mid crypt dungeon boss so you get the skills.
Didn’t know how to get your class until I already beat the 10-15lv dungeon
