    I've had lots of trouble getting puff to come out right. I've tried StarCraft 3D Puff and WalaKUT Puff at various temps and pressures, but always my result is wrinkled-not lusciously puffed like in your video.
    I've finally come to the realization that it may be the pad/mat on my lower heat press platen.
    I have a cotton-like stiff pad stacked under a blue spongey pad, but in every video like this that I watch, it's a more standard thick foam silicone pad. So I just ordered one on Amazon for $25. 🤞

      There is a good video on RUclips I watched that described the most accurate way to use a thermal infrared thermometer to read either a heat press or an EasyPress.
      Essentially you have to use the product (close the press or start a 30sec timer on EasyPress) and quickly read the temperature immediately after lifting. Simply scanning the hot surface without using it first will give an inaccurate reading, especially with a teflon cover.
      Using this you can find where exactly you should set your device to achieve the required 275, 285, or 305 temp for WalaKUT Puff.
      My cheap knockoff press needs to be set to 340°F to achieve a true 275°F press for neon puff.
      Once that is figured out, pressure is vital. With an EasyPress, try without a press pillow, just flat on a hard heat-resistant surface like a table. Press hard and try not to move for full 10 sec.
      With my clamshell, I had to ensure the top and lower platens were closing flat, creating a solid and even press. This required continuing to use two pads on my lower platen.
      Here was the final secret for me, personally: the top spongey pad that came with my heat press was too soft for the pressure I needed. I bought a $25 silicone foam pad on Amazon and swapped out my spongey one-so I still have two pads to achieve the proper height-and this new dense pad solved my wrinkling problem entirely!
      Now I'm puffin' all day n night 😎

    Hello!! I recently just got into pressing tshirts and I am using the WalaPuff White. Every time I press the puff, it comes out wrinkled. I used a teflon paper as well and still comes out wrinkled. Heat is at 285°F for 10-12 seconds (which is what states on the website). Does anyone have a solution for puff to not become wrinkled?

    • @HeatTransferWarehouse
      @HeatTransferWarehouse  2 года назад +2

      if you are having problems with wrinkles, that means the temperature is too hot. Press a test piece at 10 degrees lower than what you're currently doing. Keep bringing the temp down until it has the right texture.
