Once you put up the comment about the "uhms," that's all I heard for the rest of the video. Thanks a lot.
I have a pair of the older motion 60xt Martin Logan's. They were a demo pair from a Magnolia dealer so they had probably many hours of break in time. I got them home and they were a little harsh on the upper end probable do to the AMT tweeters and me not being used to that sound. After a few months of use I decided to eliminate the toe in 100%. They immediately smoothed out.
I fire my ML15i straight ahead, no toe in and it works well. I like it and find it smooth, detailed and resolving without any of those descriptions going too far into being in hyper territory or being overly refined. There was an adjustment coming from metal tweeter and paper driver speakers but no regrets.
The new line of speakers seem to have a tilted treble in comparison which seems to be what some other companies do at that price point. I notice speakers' treble gets tilted up or tilted down in response these days.

Some people commenting on this channel are very rude. They run a business, and give real world opinions - theirs not yours - back down everyone cool your guns, wind your flipping necks in and give thanks that they even bother at all - I love everything they do - even if I have no interest in some of the kit they are talking about - sometimes I just find a new artist to listen to - and that's a win in itself. And I just learned something about Chopin -and if you listen carefully you will too!!

I'm looking at the f20, was looking at the f100, actually still looking at f100, it's just a little out of what I would want to spend.
They sound great
Sound is so SUBJECTIVE at best. Another reviewer with measurements to substantiate his assertion found the high frequencies in the B series to be hot/sibilant(like Adrian observed), but less so than the XT series tweeter. The bookshelf speakers of both series had some serious cabinet resonance issues(analysis showing red areas resonating).
I would like to know what would be a better choce for sound quality The Martin Logan Motion F10 or the KEF LS50 2

For the price, these speakers are hard to beat. Sounds like you guys are trying to compare them to much more expensive speakers in the shop.
Can you compare this to Fyne Audio f501sp ?
How do you effectively break in speakers?
I have Motion 40i and they sound harsh and slightly muffled even after a year.
By simply playing them. Not much else you can do.
There are many many things you can do to improve the harshness of a speaker
@@nelsonclub7722 I think you can only break them in, by simply playing them. Now, if you end up with a harsh and muffled speaker, like he did after a year, then yes, there a few things he can do to fix this, to a degree. Experiment with different positions, toe in or out, equalization at certain problematic bands.
@@Yiannis2112 Indeed I read your message and you are correct -t hey are broken in and are still harsh - the cheapest and easiest is room dynamics - I would start with that - then placement - then cables - then kit!!
Change youre Amp is the better option

By definition (part of legislation), speaker impedance should never be lower than 0.8 of declared and not average. For a 4-ohm speaker, that is a minimum of 3.2 ohms.
