Ann Wilson is one of the greatest rock vocalists of any gender of all time.
Gender ? I'll break it down for you. One of the greatest vocalist, male or female in rock music of all time. Have a great day !
TRUTH!💜🎶
@@chuckvelten5337 Aretha Franklin, Alicia keys, Whitney Houston, and several other more recent pop singers are arguably better. I would agree that she is the best rock female vocalist though, with Stevie nicks right behind.
@@CC-bigig Whatever you need to tell yourself cuz, to get through the day. My point wasn't she was the best of all time ( as you took it/one of, right ) but the way that person has presented it. Have a great one !
Absolutely. No doubt about it. Girl can sing.
Ann and Nancy Wilson. Queens of rock. Sister godesses.
They were great but I don't think all their songs were Rock
@@JET1970 No, they switched to radio friendly pop/ rock in the 80s. Not sure why.
@@nathankrush3289 yea pop was not them and if they would of done more Rock like there same way they did Barracuda then people could truly of called them the QUEEN'S OF ROCK but I can't call them that especially with Joan Jett being all about Rock and backing it up
@@JET1970 I'll take Pat Benatar over Joan Jett anyday.
@@nathankrush3289 to each their own but I'm just saying Heart is not all Rock n Roll
As a classically trained guitarist this dynamic duo changed everything for me. Can we give a big Amen to the female guitarists in music history. Ann's vocals, their harmonies, and her sisters guitar expertise. That is an acoustic guitar. To go from classical, to blues riffs, and then to rock strumming is phenomenal .That is why the Wilson sisters and Heart are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Canadian Grandma. Lori. C.
It's so heartwarming to see younger Generations enjoying the music of my youth.... peace and love
Such a great song. Those sisters didn’t play around.
Thank you for watching the live version that showcases Nancy's Guitar talent. Ann ususally gets all the attention but Nancy could hold her own!
nancy gets lots of attention just not for the same reasons, Nancy can sing yes, but compared to Anne she is just fine, but Nancy's guitar playing is AMAZING especially since she does it with an acoustic making her stand out from all the other great rock guitarists.
Two sisters creating their own band and this is what happened. Love Heart!!!
I saw them at the Forum in LA about 40 years ago. Forty Freakin Years!! LoL They were beyond great. Anne’s voice is so powerful and beautiful.
Saw them before my daughter was born, and again, with her, when she (my daughter) was in her early 30s... still amazing!!!
I'm going to see Ann in two weeks
Voice unchanged in thirty years, because God got it right the first time.
The Wilsons could burn the Devil.. One of the most face melting bands of all time
Ann has a powerful voice, no autotune tricks in those days.
All live instruments. Even in the studio during recordings. That's why they sound so great live in concert. Pure instrumentation from start to finish. No tricks. My generation was so lucky to have this from Motown and Beyond. Canadian Grandma. Lori. C.
I appreciate you picking this version as it highlighted Nancy in the beginning. Ann is widely recognized as a great vocalist (deservedly so!), but most videos I've seen showcase her & have Nancy relegated to the back with a few vague camera pans in her direction. I've even seen people arguing over whether she could really play or not! I also appreciate that you really seemed to enjoy the music as a whole performance, instead of just waiting for a particular vocal or guitar note to fan over, like many do (Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven gets that a lot).
I have seen Heart twice live, they are PHENOMENAL!!! 💜
I've seen them live 3 times...They were THE BEST I'd ever heard anywhere-at any time!!!!!They sound EVEN BETTER in person!! I was SHOOK!!!!!
not a single twerk, not a single crotch grab, not a single f bomb, not a single simulated sex act, just pure musicians, lyricists, and vocalists......unlike the garbage today.....know it, learn it, live it.
Think how much better could have been though with a crotch grab and a F-you . Or however they do that.
Heart, wow seem em twice...tears fell out my eyes...her voice is immaculate...best singer(I've been to hundreds of shows) is the best
..never got to see Zeppelin but she throws the gauntlet down!!!! TK
Oh yeah! When Rock n Roll was REAL! Musicians wrote and played their own music… they could Actually SING! No Autotune. Doesn’t
Matter that they’re women- they can Rock the house and bring it Down!
Thank You!
You gave me so much joy today. I'm 58 going on 30 and I was 14 in 1978 and grew up with Heart. Amazing band, amazing music. I loved your reactions....❤️🎸
Saw Heart at Arrowhead Stadium KC,Mo .They played with the big boys with ease while rocking our world, an Janis,Tina coming with power. What a time to be a teen. Ann's voice gave you chills ,Nancys and her guitar performed how could you ask for more.
Sisters!!
Seen them many times since the late 80’s and they still sound perfect live. Not just Ann’s voice but the entire band. Best show.
Got to see them live twice. I think they can heal people because I saw crutches flying from the crowd. True Rock Goddesses! Love 'em both!
Well, that brings me back! I've seen Heart quite a few times, but the very 1st time was...1978! Vancouver, B.C. 🇨🇦.
Thanks for giving me an awesome Flashback of being that 16 year old all over again!
It was so long ago, but this authentic Live performance Video from '78 sent chills down my spine! I had tears of joy watching this, instantly recognizing their Stage Clothes and the pyramid Drum Riser. It was a Hot Summer night, the Arena was jam-packed with 16,000 fans and "festival seating". Which means it was a race to run to get as close to the stage as possible, and there are no seats on the floor, it's all Standing. I was about 10 feet from Center Stage. Everyone was packed like sardines, pressed together. At one point, I could raise both feet right off the floor, remain upright and not fall, as the bodies were so tightly entwined together.
A Whole Lotta Good-natured Groping going on all over the place in the dark under hazy blue smoke!
I'm sure your Subs will strongly suggest that you check out HEART'S tribute to LED ZEPPELIN from the Kennedy Center Awards, where they give a STUNNING Performance of STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN in front of the surviving members of Led Zeppelin perched in the balcony.
It was quite emotional, and Robert shed some tears, I could see them fall like rain!😉 According to Robert, he got emotional from seeing the Son of the Late Drummer John Bonham behind the Drum Kit, wearing "Bonzo's" trademark Boler Hat. Led Zeppelin had no idea that son Jason was even in the City, let alone in the House to play with HEART'S MAGNIFICENT TRIBUTE!
It really is an out of this world performance, the best Stairway to Heaven Cover EVER! Even Jimmy Page was standing and cheering when a special surprise has a DIVINE ending that has all the people UP while Ann & Nancy Wilson bring the House down, backed by a choir of Angels! 🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦
I was only 15 when this concert played! Now I'm showing my age!! 😆
You should check out the studio version from the album, great sound quality a masterpiece for sure.
I saw them a couple of years ago they were with Joan Jett and they played this song and stairway to heaven and they still have it!
I'm jealous!!!
I saw the same tour. It was fantastic
@@rocknroller77 wow same tour!! it was great!
I wasn't at that exact show, but I saw them on this tour and they were even more awesome than the video shows.
I was able to see them 4 times while guitarist Roger Fisher was still in the band and I think I've seen them 9 times total.
The first time I saw them they were opening for ELO at the Pontiac Silverdome and they kinda stole the show from ELO, to tell you the truth.
It's not often when a warm-up band gets brought back to the stage for 3 encores, but they were.
The band seemed genuinely surprised by our response.
The date was August 12, 1978. I know because I just looked at my ticket stub.
Yeah, kids, that was before Ticketmaster and I thought to save my ticket stubs from concerts as memorabilia.
Lucky. I didn't get to see them until after the gals fired one of the greatest rock bands ever! I heard a couple of their post 70s stuff. Pretty bad and the goobers they came up with to take the place of the original band were beyond pathetic
Any of the $hit after '79 is AWFUL!
Yeah these videos dont come close to doing the actual concerts justice
Yes Yes-Saw heart LIVE in concert back in 1981. The Romantic opened for them. Great Show
What About Love
Never
Straight On
Magic Man
Nothing at All
Barracuda
Little Queen. All great songs by HEART!!!!
Thank you for listing Nothing At All! That usually seems to be forgotten, but it's one of my favorites of theirs.
Nancy Wilson = easily as great a guitarist as most any popular male guitarist that can be named. Soooo underrated!
Ann…vocalist icon. Nancy is recognized by many sources as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. These Sisters are fire.
These sisters…..let’s go! Vocalists and songwriters like these ladies don’t come along every day. ❤️🎼🤘😎Enjoy.
Ann and Nancy Wilson! Enough said.
Any band with three guitarists who can all play lead is the business, add one of the great voices, top notch bass and drums and there is nothing else required.
Very fierce woman with a guitar! What a legend!
The Wilson sisters and heart as far as I’m concerned and I’m 75 so I have to see them all Have the most powerful voices in the world ever and no one can touch them because there’s never been a group like heart.
Thank you for doing this video. The best. No one ever chooses this one. My favorite. Great reaction. Thank you. 😊
I've seen them about 6 or 7 times. They never disappoint.
Nancy Wilson on acoustic was an epic player. She is as incredible on the guitar and mandolin as Ann is on vocals and flute.
Absolutely Heart Rocks a Stadium
Pure talent! I saw them in ATL in 1979,one of the best concerts ever
Dream Of The Archer - Ann kills it with the mandolin. Nancy is an intense vocalist on all their songs.
Magic Man is easily their best song, so groovy w a great breakdown
have you heard the song Little Queen by them that's my favor
ruclips.net/video/kKY1wJlzqjo/видео.html
Magic Man is rad
@@suzg4928 I like Dream Boat Anny.
@@jamesfoster7890 I like Even it up the best.
Excellent song and excellent performance! I saw them in 1982!
I’ve seen them many times over the years and they are always great in concert.
not seen this live footage before! That was awesome!
Back when people would sing, glad I grew up in that time. We had the best music.
When Nancy throws off the finger picks and grabs the other one.... that's the "hang on, here it comes" moment.
Real music will make you feel it Real instruments and real good voices The real music was in the past Much more talent in the past I still enjoy it today
I did not see them in this concert, but I did see them in concert in the late 80s. The romantics opened for them. Great show!
Saw them live in 1980. They opened for Rolling Stones in Boulder, Colorado....
One of the greatest rock bands ever! Roger Fisher is a greatly underrated guitarist. Ann Wilson is one of greatest female singers.
1978, I was 16, Heart, my second big concert, Ann and Nancy looked like Angels, it was a great night.
1978 was a great year. I was born in 68, so the memories of the 70s are still my favorite! God bless ya'll!😃💛🙏💯
I watched them perform in Cincinnati last year and, yes, they still have it! The Wilson sisters are fantastic. If you want to hear Ann showing off her singing ability, check out "Alone".
i saw them live in Tampa ... top drawer . just shortly before the were inducted into the R&R Hall Of Fame ... they are most excellente' .. Ann's voice is amazing
Two of the most powerful female voices in rock and roll
Heard this song a ton of times, but never saw a live preformance! This is great!
Love that yall picked this version to react to as well.. awesome
The original lineup of Heart was absolute fire.
Ann and Nancy , Legendary rock stars.
Such an awesome band! Women will someday rule! i❤heart...always
At one time Nancy Wilson was the world's greatest acoustic guitar player (un officially) but my opinion she was & is & always will be for all time
Such a FANTASTIC band only to see it disbanded by the sisters.
Blessed to have seen them multiple times including in their prime in the 70's!! Huge fan!!👍🏽😁
Wilson sister's = Rock Goddesses!! ❤❤
I'm from Washington State. I've seen them live at least 15 time's. Wilson sisters are Queen's here!
Have seen Them in Their early days in the 70’s and in the past 10 years. Haven’t lost anything. Always great.
They both Gave me the strength to play an instrument and play with my entire soul.... Back in Jr high school!
Heart was my first concert and I have loved heart ever sinse!
A great song The group Heart is two sisters Ann Wilson(singer) and Nancy Wilson is playing guitar please react to Heart Magic man
You can't leave out the rest of the band; they are all great musicians. They couldn't have made the great music they did if everyone wasn't competent enough to play it (wouldn't have lasted, no matter how good tge lyrics, singing, and acoustic guitar were).
@@jaynagerber7474 -Yep - they were first and foremost a great ROCK band formed by Mike and Roger Fisher and Steve Fossen. The Wilson sisters were latecomers. The idea that they formed the band and named the band is a complete and utter lie told by Ann and Nancy who have tried to erase history and rewrite it to make themselves look like they were the impetus behind the band. They were and are great - but the original band was even greater as a whole! When they got rid of Roger Fisher they lost that great rock guitarist and riff writer and things started to fall apart.
The new Heart - being the Wilson sisters with a few stragglers playing behind them - became soft ballad singers who ironically get rave reviews and the biggest applause for their 1970s rock hits rather than their 1980s hair ballads.
Yes…finally, Nancy Live!
Glad you selected this version to react to because it shows off Nancy's guitar playing and the crowd's reaction to it.
I was 17 and was my first concert. I was so in love Ann the moment I saw her. I saw them again at the Vancouver summer Sunday concert. It was an outdoor arena with like 7 or bands. What a great time to be alive!
You can definitely tell the difference between 70's Heart and 80's Heart.
Saw them say in an interview once that because of MTV videos they were made to change their look and style. They were never happy over that period in their career.
As was true with Chicago, Foreigner, Starship, Aerosmith, Brian Adam's, Queen, etc....
It's almost as if they sold their souls to the devil, in order to be able to crank out great music during the Seventies, and payback was the gooey stuff they had to put out in the Eighties.
You got that right
The 80s version wasn't even on the same planet of the majestic 70s Heart!
The Wilson sisters are rock ‘n’ roll royalty the Queens of rock ‘n’ roll. Brought me through high school and what a time it was.
Living Legends. Ann and Nancy Wilson!! ❤️
Heart is Awesome!!!!! Ya'll got to hear Magic Man💞
솔로기타 Wow 퍼팩트 👍👍👍👍👍

Princesses of Rock! so much more to go. Ann Wilson is a vocal GIANT!!! Saw them In concert...IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! love the reaction u2!!
how exacvtly is this done with heels on!
True female pioneers, I was 11. But I agree with the connection to music ,decades before you were born. I feel that was about music from the 30's, 40's, etc.
You guys both are beautiful people, make me feel alive!!!
I saw Heart in concert at the Yale Bowl in New Haven Connecticut in the late 70s or early 80s, awesome concert awesome day. Love to see you guys enjoying the music.
I was a junior in high school! Greatest music ever!!
Saw them live in 1977. Awesome show. These sisters are still rocking!.
I was born in 79 but have seen Heart a few times in concert and these sisters rock!!! ❤️❤️❤️
My favorite Heart song.
If you want to hear a heart song with Nancy singing listen to Stranded. She's got the voice too. Love those girls.
I did see Heart live. In the 90's here in Michigan. The ladies did not disappoint!

They are the OGs of rock for women as far as I can see...and they did it right.
The Wilson sisters are simply magical!
I saw them in back in the early nineties and they were still bringing it, and got a heart shaped red guitar pic!
Nancy playing that guitar. She has a great voice too.
Hey i have seen heart twice 1977 1979 been to over 100 concerts between 1976 and 2023 most in 70s and 80s
