I got diagnosed about four years ago. The pulmonologist made me laugh. He walks in the room and goes… Congratulations you have the disease of a 65-year-old woman. I am a 40 year old man. After that I was kind of upset and I felt sorry for myself for a few weeks but realized I need to be happy with my life and move on

I had a lobectomy 50yrs ago, it improved my life. Back then I was not taught to keep my lungs clear with physio every day, I still need to do this now but may not have needed the lobectomy if I was taught to clear my lungs sooner. Overall, I’m pleased I had the op, hope this helps Pera Peric.
