Definitely the most gifted player that has ever played football..No one will ever come close to him.. Yes Cr7 and messi are the goats cuz of their insane carrers they had....But this guy was on another level my father had vhs tape of 1986 vs england i have watched that match as a kid maybe 10 times a day and the way he played and weaved through the pitch is insane and of course hand of god goal 😅 am just sad i couldnt watch him live it must have been amazing to witness greatness. I think Maradona, Cr7 and Messi are all about the same skill wise. The only difference is that when Maradona played there was no one like him. He was on anothe level compared to the whole league. Now a days there are a lot of similarly skilled players as good as Maradona, but they all play in the same era so none of the greats stand out over the others.

Diego era un ARTISTA ... ha creado muchísimas jugadas que son Obras de Arte ... después están gigantes como Messi, Pelé y todos los demás que siguen detrás que son excelentes ... pero creo que la grandeza de Diego no tiene que ver solo con la eficacia y los títulos, que los tuvo, sino con la belleza que transmitía al jugar ... creaba pinceladas para que queden como grandes obras de arte del fútbol ... y ver como las iba creando, para quienes tuvimos la fortuna de verlo en directo, nos llenaba de emoción el pecho además de la admiración y la sorpresa para todo ser que estuviera viendo el partido. Sigue generando admiración al verlo en videos que no tienen siquiera buena resolución por el paso del tiempo pero así y todo se sigue transmitiendo su magia. Ni hablar de las condiciones en las que jugaba y me refiero a canchas de pisos llenos de barro, pasto en pésimas condiciones, patadas desde todos lados que le pegaban o que tenía que evitar en condiciones absolutamente desfavorables. A pesar de todas esas contingencias la pelota en sus pies parecía que era más redonda que nunca y nos daba la sensación que iba a dominar el balón, y lo que es más increíble aún, nos hacía creer que era fácil lo que hacía !!! Por eso le pedíamos más y más ... le pedíamos todo al Diego. Tuve la gracia de Dios de poder disfrutar de este Monstruo Sagrado y verdadero GIGANTE del fútbol. Gracias por las alegrías que nos regalaste Diego. Para lo que vimos jugar a Maradona el Diego nos dejó la vara muy alta para que alguien se acerque y nos pueda transmitir esas sensaciones únicas. Viva el Fútbol. Viva Messi mejor jugador del Mundo. When a player is one footed (Diego was completely left footed) it is generally seen as a weakness as a good defender can shepherd them onto the weak foot, everyone knew he was only going to use his left they just couldn't stop him, he was so far ahead of his time.
I totally agree that he was far ahead of his time, but I think the idea that Diego was completely left-footed is just wrong. He made many many goals and assists with the right foot, way more than most left-footed players. I think people repeat this mistake because what he did with the left foot was so otherwordly that it creates the impression he only used that foot. But that's not the case, he was more two-footed than most players.
Which is one of the reasons why Pele was a better player. One of the best goals ever scored in the World Cup was Pele's goal against Mexico in the 1962 World Cup quarter final in Chile. With his LEFT foot ! The speed and balance of the man was incredible.

И что самое интересное он как лучший умел признавать других лучших, например тот случай когда он сам лично поцеловал руку Роналдиньо. Хотя я считаю что сравнивать их не стоит . Диего по истине величайший. Но я хотел подчеркнуть что только великие могут заметить в других такие же качества как у себя. Это скромность присущая таким гениям. Например тот же Мухаммед Али который признавал насколько Майк Тайсон талантлив и мощен. Хотя мы все понимаем как человек , как спортсмен и как боксер нет равных Али
Я сам очень восхищаюсь Роналдиньо, его игрой и ведением мяча и голами , когда ещё мир увидит такого улыбчего волшебника в будущем не знаю.
