Rich, thanks for the informative video. I own and love this little Fishman amp. While I am no longer a guitarist, I've used the Fishman Mini as a keyboard amp in rehearsal (and once for an outdoor gig). I also use it regularly as a monitor in live gigs, sending the full signal from my PA system to it. Unlike you, I paid the full retail price for mine, but still I have no regrets about purchasing it.
I love my mini...was just running my Katana mini into the aux input of the mini today....the fishman sounds awesome with the Katana running into it (Phone jack to fishman aux)...even distortion...very clean and articulate. I don't blast it but it pumps up the katana's volume and gives me the electric sound. It gives me more clean volume from the katana and a different tone. Give me other types of sound. Used to have a Guild X500....makes me want to get another arch top. Sounds fabulous. It does work great for solo work and my Yamaha LL16...I use a 10 band EQ sometimes to cut the 16k band....it mello's it out. The Fishman mini has a good preamp in it....I use it for Transducers on my other guitars....the LL15 is a passive piezio and the Fishman boosts it fine. I like chorus and reverb at about 10 oclock. You have an older one....the newer mini's have bluetooth
Glad I stumbled on this....Just for fun I picked up an Ibanez Archtop and was wondering if I could get away with using my Fishman loudbox mini with it... Your vid just validated I can go ahead and use it. BTW, you STOLE that mini for $150. Nice catch. Be well...
@@Last_one_before_I_go - cool! Yes, that was a great deal on the amp. I got it at a pawn shop & I don’t think anyone knew what it was. 😊Glad to hear you found this helpful.
Funny. I have used the exact same combination (Fishman and Pisano 380). Liked it too but especialy as you for sologuitar. In band situations (I have even used it with a big band on one occasion) it sounds a little small. Guess the speaker is, well: small and the whole thing lacks mids like ex a Polytone or a Mambo. But a good cheap grab and go amp for sure:)
Thanks for your comment, HK. I totally agree. I think it wouldn’t work in a big band setting. It is definitely not a Polytone. I had one back in the early 80’s and it was great but not for rock stuff. For solo guitar stuff with the volume very low- nice! What do you play through now?
@@starrynightguitars I have been through a lot. I am in EU so expensive american amps are even more expensive here. So I have settled on a Mambo head with different 10" and 12" speakers. Covers most other Henriksen, Polytone or DV Mark amps I have tried (and liked). If I want tube I use and can highly recommend the Peavey classic mini head through a Cannabis Rex.
I'm all for lower cost, high quality solutions. I've never used Fishman but have happily used a Schertler David amp - similar-ish in size and specs to the Fishman mini - for jazz. Do you ever use your T486 for jazz?
thanks .. I have the fisherman loud box artist (before bluetooth) and just got my first electric semi hollow H7 335 type lariat carlton ... and don't know if mine will do what I think I want .. but need time to know better. Your sound is nice .. thanks.

Thanks Gary! Good to hear. Yes, I think they’re great little amps. Thanks for checking the video out.
God bless you and nicely done. I think you’ve cracked the code! 🎸✌️&❤
thanks Brian. It was a great little amp but I've sold it and purchased a Henriksen Blu 6. Incredible little amp!!
@ Very nice indeed!

Very nice! Rich I'd say it does any excellent job.
Thanks Andy! It did work well in certain situations.
For the price I love the sound on jazz guitar!

I do. I play at a local restaurant & I use the Písano, T59V and my Yamaha Silent guitar to add some different timbres.
Pretty decent sound.
I have since sold this and bought a Henriksen Blu Six. Amazing amp!

You are welcome. I prefer my hollow body to my semi through this amp but that’s just me. I hope it works for you!
thank you for your reply.. I don't have the wide or normal and acoustics sound great.@@starrynightguitars
