The choreography is more grounded, you can see everything that's going on, and you fully understand the personal stakes of both fighters. That just makes it a better fight in my eyes. But the sheer coolness factor of this one brings it all the way up to second place.

Than her attack overpowered his attack and injured him, which shows us that she had to use more power than she wanted to originally. This alligns with her worried expressions after the fight and when fueling the flames, showcasing she lost most of her power in that attack and than the remaining leftover went to the flames as fuel.
I am an 3D animator and i try figure out the workflow to be able to do this animation and finally i thing they are just not human,to have a perfect timing through the space at the same time to have perfect poses, i just don't know how they do.
Sorry to burst your bubble but that's really no feat of strength in the Genshinverse. Visions or any kinda elemental power are theorized to give their wielders a 10 to 20 times boost in strength and endurance. All characters in the Genshinverse can easily use and wield a claymore with one hand but the choose not to cuz it's not their weapon of choice. Childe can use many weapons but he chooses to stick with the bow cuz that's what he prefers. Raiden can use a katana but she sticks with a naginata cuz that's what she prefers. There's many other examples but you get my point.

The same is true with Rosaria, it is implied that she does not use a physical spear in battle, a spear made of ice. It was also revealed in the comic that Keya goes unarmed because she relies on an ice sword (not a 3* sword, but a sword made of ice).
Now watching this after the 4.3 archon quest. Capitano fought mavuika while carrying a lot of souls with him and constantly hearing their echoing voices in his head. Rest in peace Capitano 🕊️

One thing I like about Capitano is how, despite being badly injured, still wants to fight even if the fight’s not as even but when he hears about the pyro archons’ power weakening, he refuses to fight as he’d rather fight her at her full strength
They're a bit different. If he's injured during battle, or if he injures his opponent during battle, he'll finish the fight regardless of how that injury changes things. What he won't do is engage a weakened opponent and take advantage of a situation. Capitano strolled into the colosseum just before Mavuika was going to sacrifice her power. I think Capitano knew that he'd never get a chance at an honorable fight after this moment.

With hindsight, (5.3 spoilers) Capitano was rotting, had a shadow of his former physical strenght, hadn't slept in 5 centuries, had hundreds if not thousands of souls inside him and it was still this close (they were both holding back not just Mavuika before people bring that up) What the hell was Khaenri'ah feeding their army 💀
Arlecchino believes without his strength he is worthy of respect regardless; he didnt clash with Varka's expedition; and he decided to not force his way in after learning that the archon weakened herself. The harbinger rankings dont lie, this man is onto something, because perhaps this battle is just his way of throwing himself into the ring of fire. 📃 🤓 Edit: im gonna place my guesses since the comments bellow are mixed. Capitano is from Natlan, thus the personal interest that Mauvika felt was beyond the Tsaritsa, and would lowkey explain why he's such an honorable/lawful strategist captain because natlan people see war as honor to defend the country. He expressed intentions to reform Natlan either knowingly or unknowingly to Mauvika's plan of getting 6 influential warriors from each tribe, it wouldnt be the first time this happens, Arlecchino did aid during Fontaine's crisis for interests of keeping her children safe, while pushing the prophecy to fruitition and gaining the Gnosis as a 2 birds 1 stone. I would also emphasize that personal interests of harbingers isn't new. Think Dottore Academia, Signora Venti, Scara Shogun. They all hailed from these nations and came back to get the Gnosis + a personal goal fulfilled. (Pookie childe just getting casually trolled in each archon quest lol, he just wants to fight) Captiano being from Natlan would also explain why he has an aura like other Natlan characters, an aura we've never seen any other harbinger use. Second, Mauvika felt something was off about him, which foreshadows the rest of the story, which we all have no idea what's gonna happen. Guys, the rest is for hoyo writers to cook 🍳 instead of fighting on who beat who, lets all rejoice on this masterpiece of story and character interactions. Instead of saying Captiano lost and retreated, let's ask ourselves why this mastermind *willingly* left with Ororon even after showing intentions to resume and what the punch Mauvika dealt actually did to him.
He is definitely having something personal with Mavuika and her plan to save Natlan, and imo it's even more suspicious if you add the fact that they didn't show Mavuika's father during her memory cutscene. Hmm, what does he actually want?
Just rewatched the entire battle from 01:23 on 0.25x speed - still sooo much action, and so many details I've missed initially! Try it, you won't regret.
This was much needed, we never had a full fight that felt fully satisfying animated before. Also it should be pretty obvious both of them didn’t use their full power.
I never thought about it that way! When I saw it the first time, I just thought that Capitano clenching his fist was what summoned the fog, I didn't notice that he was actually bracing for another attack, and the fog came from elsewhere.
I love how the battle portraits that Mavuika and Capitano are stonger in different aspects. When it comes to hand to hand combat/fighting technique Capitano is more advanced and managed to overpower Mavuika and kick her in the air. On the other hand Mavuika has greater pure strength/elemental power. She manages to completely counter Capitnano's cryo attacks and he on the other hand struggled countering the fire projectiles that Mavuika took advantage with. When they exchanged elemental infused fists Mavuika did greater damage to Capitano. It's uncertain who would have won in the end since they were left to fight hand to hand, Capitano is better at it but he suffered greater injuries. I really hope we get to see round 2 since this was the most equal fight in the entire game.
But this fight, Mavuika actually won this fight. Whatever you say, The Captain flee and that what makes him lose this fight. Mavuika literally ready for the the round 2 but Fraudtano flee off.

Capitano is from Natlan, thus the personal interest that Mauvika felt was beyond the Tsaritsa, and would lowkey explain why he's such an honorable/lawful strategist captain because natlan people see war as honor to defend the country.
He expressed intentions to reform Natlan either knowingly or unknowingly to Mauvika's plan of getting 6 influential warriors from each tribe, it wouldnt be the first time this happens, Arlecchino did aid during Fontaine's crisis for interests of keeping her children safe, while pushing the prophecy to fruitition and gaining the Gnosis as a 2 birds 1 stone.
I would also emphasize that personal interests of harbingers isn't new. Think Dottore Academia, Signora Venti, Scara Shogun. They all hailed from these nations and came back to get the Gnosis + a personal goal fulfilled. (Pookie childe just getting casually trolled in each archon quest lol, he just wants to fight)
Captiano being from Natlan would also explain why he has an aura like other Natlan characters, an aura we've never seen any other harbinger use.
Second, Mauvika felt something was off about him, which foreshadows the rest of the story, which we all have no idea what's gonna happen.
Guys, the rest is for hoyo writers to cook 🍳 instead of fighting on who beat who, lets all rejoice on this masterpiece of story and character interactions.
Instead of saying Captiano lost and retreated, let's ask ourselves why this mastermind *willingly* left with Ororon even after showing intentions to resume and what the punch Mauvika dealt actually did to him.

came back after a year to this, this game has rlly improved so much its crazy
I love how the battle portraits that Mavuika and Capitano are stonger in different aspects. When it comes to hand to hand combat/fighting technique Capitano is more advanced and managed to overpower Mavuika and kick her in the air. On the other hand Mavuika has greater pure strength/elemental power. She manages to completely counter Capitnano's cryo attacks and he on the other hand struggled countering the fire projectiles that Mavuika took advantage with. When they exchanged elemental infused fists Mavuika did greater damage to Capitano. It's uncertain who would have won in the end since they were left to fight hand to hand, Capitano is better at it but he suffered greater injuries. I really hope we get to see round 2 since this was the most equal fight in the entire game.
