To be honest, despite having played Drytron myself and being bored of Snakes since March, I would rather play against Fiendsmith Snake Eye instead of Drytron with Eva and Maxx C

This variant of snake eye is much weaker to handtraps than the fiendsmith variant and the board it puts out isn't that much more powerful. The only thing I'd give to this variant is it's ability to play summon limit. You're right about the other 2 version tho. Idk what this person is talking about bc there are literally only 2 versions of snake eye.
@@lhv2k fiendsmith puts up better endboards and has much more extension thanks to the fiendsmith engine, you can also play as much non engine as you want or just turnskip with beatrice and the angel of blue tears Xyz snake eye/snake eye after snake eye diabellstar came out makes stronger boards more consistently Kashtira snake eye makes similar/stronger boards but is better at playing through disruptions
@@lhv2k 1) Even before the Baronne ban, the pure Snake deck was the more popular one and not the synchro version (I was playing the synchro version) 2) The Fiendsmith variant was the peak of Snakes because the supplementary engine now became full Snake combo thanks to Beatrice. 3) Honorable mention to Fire King variant that was the de facto Snake deck but continuously lost popularity until the other variants took over 4) Arguably the best Snake variant we'll never get is the Fiendsmith Azamina one because the deck now got even more starters, an omni negate before the basic play, the full power of the Fiendsmith engine that can also work as starters, with the TCG banlist making it even more oppressive due to the absence of generic negates since that deck would have its own. Lacrima and Beatrice were absolutely mandatory hits, but instead of limiting SnAsh they should have banned Flam instead, the deck will be Tier 1 once we get the new set.
Game 1 drytron could have used that topdecked foolish burial to send a benten and used the ritual spell to send off the Zeus, then zeta benten grab another, ritual spell add back then use delta tribute the 2nd benten and get the draw from revealing ritual spell, add diviner to grab 3rd benten, 2 lvl 1s into the xyz dump alpha, alpha summon and grab the big guy search a fairy then ritual with 1 material and the alpha, now you have a s/t negate and 2 pops

@1:41, can't you just Foolish for Benten, Meteo for Benten, tribute Zeus, tribute benten for zeta, use meteo to add back, grab diviner for a search and then link to go for scythelock with Halq? Either way you won that game, just felt like it might give you more advantage + recurring resource

It would lose to draw phase imperm but Zeus also would have lost to draw phase imperm + starter (although preserving scythe) and in the case they don’t have imperm you can establish Baronne + have followup. if they veiler diviner, they're on topdeck and any one starter probably loses to halq into wonder magician into barrone
Too many hand traps causing Drytrons to brick a lot. With a 2 card combo deck you need to see as many names as possible to combo off. That’s why I never liked the Herald version. Veiler and Droll might be ok (situational) because they are level 1 and can help make Mu Beta. Maxx C is ok because you draw more gas but anything else I don’t really see a need to play them.
Game 2 could've sent the drytrn equiped to grave with droplet and then proceed to do full combo with benten in the hand. Drytron couldve steal this one
Lithium choose the lists he likes the most, not any particular reason, anyway, as you can see the TCG decks on this group are moving to top 16, Maxx c is not enough against SE and Ishtear so it doesn't matter really.
The reason is the same as why Purely will most likely be an OCG list when it gets finally added to the CBC: The deck was never full power in the TCG. Benten was already limited when Diviner and Mu Beta got released.
It's kinda scary how if Snake-Eyes didn't have Summon Limit AND Droll, Drytron actually had a chance to make a comeback in g5. Love that deck so much lol. Glad it's getting some love in 2024

I always was cheesed by the zealantis otk so I was thrilled when they took it out for the FS package. Even with Apo, Beatrice, and Lacrima gone, I don’t think they put it back so I’m hyped. 😁

@@sejotejerina3732 the issue is that the pilot doesnt know what he is doing. he has soo bad sequencing for his effects and leaves himself open to get extremely punished on multiple occasions. the one even causals should know is the cl 1 flamberge, cl 2 poplar to protect flamberge summoning 2, and the pilot is doing cl 1 poplar, cl2 flamberge....

Even if you add in San Jose, which had lower representation, like 55% (and also like 1/3 the players of the other events), the only other event using that banlist, you still get that Tear's top cut representation was like 70%, which, as you will note, is over 65%.

There are some Spyral lists as late as October of 2018, after it stopped being T0. If we include up to that time period as well, using your criterion, it's no longer T0, since it has like 2 or 3 top cuts in the next, idk, 9 YCSs? So either your definition is clearly and obviously false, and Tear is T0, or Spyral isn't T0 as well. (And, spoiler, no deck is T0.)
