      Well, he did brag about ignoring everything he learned at Harvard. But I’m shocked he even managed to graduate anyways. But I mean, look at Jordan Peterson. He argues insanely dumb, ignorant and invalidly all the time, and literally taught at major universities. Conservativism just mandates braindead rhetoric.

      And I just learned now per Google in Arabic, see the following:
      "The name Gaza in Arabic means "strength," "treasures," or "stores". These terms all include the idea of strength. Treasures represent material power through their financial value, and stores carry within them power that can accommodate and store valuable items or things of great price.x

    For someone who believes that the west has been a good influence on other nations not only as a bringer of prosperity but as a source of the spread western ways across the world through cultural exchange, Ben seems very skeptical of the idea that interactions between nations can have a sizable impact on how that nation tends to think or act in response unless those changes are being directly and explicitly induced in them by force. Almost as though he thinks the main source of westernization has been through relations of western colonial dominance and is completely fine with that.
    Edit: On a side note, both Ben's (Shapiro and Burgis) seem to falsely think all moral relativists are agent moral relativists when, even though that is one variety of moral relativism, most moral relativists today would be more accurately classified as appraiser relativists.

    I'm only one minute in to his speech and I'm going to probably have to watch this later because I'm driving and listening to it and I almost have to open a word document and start typing refutations because that's the next step of how I'm going to have to cope with these sorts of lies said in the name of my religion of Judaism. I am at a loss of words when I almost have to measure and censor myself so that I don't come across as being whatever epithets that would be used on me or that I'm defending X y or Z on the Palestinian side but even the macro view of religion and politics and him having studied at Harvard, and Harvard law I believe, I have to believe he understands the nuances of bombastic speech and allegories and metaphors. And what have you? I'm just, I'm doing it now. I am being sintorious, self censorious out of fear, I can't make sense of things, I usually can complete a sentence without pause and with the fluency and oratory Prose or prowess or whatever the word is. Word is I don't want to sound cringe but I find myself speechless... Even in using voice dictation while I'm driving... I'm scatter brained right now... I just can't bear to bring myself to even understand the framework from which he operates because it is not a framework. It is a house made of Jenga blocks. Know he not of thus? I probably just butchered that sentence. I'm losing my mind. I just I just can't. It's beyond belief. It's beyond disbelief. It's soul crushing and yet soulless and add whatever words you can find in my thesaurus to express my.... I don't even know what to say. Hopefully I circle back and watch the rest of this and give my take but my mental health. And what have you not with disregards to the genocide in Gaza on a personal and professional level, just it's it's too much. But we have to be strong. Jews Muslims Christians humanity that's that's all I have for now

    • @robertcarpenter8077
      @robertcarpenter8077 3 месяца назад

      @@janosmarothy5409 Well I can see two possible objections. Take 'the commons', the unowned farmland worked by subsistence level farmers in the embryonic phase of the industrial revolution. The wily bourgeoise used the state to kick such farmers off the commons so they would have no choice but to move to the urban industrial factories struggling to attract workers. This strategy was carried out by way of the Inclosure Acts. If subsistence level farmers had instead held title to the land they cultivated they could not have been so easily forced into the industrial barracks system. Or take immigration. The state functions to replace market control of immigration with monopoly government control. Marxists rightly make the point that state controlled immigration allows the bourgeoise to bring in armies of 'illegals', immigrants whose individual rights are stripped off because the state has monopoly control of both security and justice. In a free market society workers are free to move to where wages are highest. No state monopoly justice system threat of deportation can be held over them to prevent them from unionizing, demanding better working conditions, higher pay, and so on.

      Yes! They justify one element of culture by way of saying that the culture of which it is a constituent needs to be protected. Except there is no static culture to which they belong - anyone doubting that can look at who they have running for the presidency. Culture’s are just stories, and they change every single day. It’s all just a Trojan horse for institutionalized advantages disadvantages based on whatever prejudices the people with the most money at the time have, which are just those who were most benefited from the previous iteration of this process in the generation prior. It’s a political party that has been built almost exclusively on lies at this point.
