Haha, here I was thinking I’m the only one who compulsively reads podcasters’ bookshelves…zooming in, sometimes to no avail! I see that Jennifer has lots of interior design, architecture, etc books.
Hi Jennifer I have really enjoyed travelling with you today, and your knits are really beautiful. I have to share with you that your closed captioning made a hilarious boo boo. You referred to wrap and turns and the captioning thought you said wrapping turds. 😂 Thanks for the viewing and listening pleasure.
Thank you so much for such wonderful videos. Love your openness and honesty. Your love of rustic yarns just speak to my soul. Cannot hardly wait for your next episode.
Jennifer, so glad you were able to drop into Woolworks, that is my go to place for all hand dyed yarn. Heidi is a beautiful Dyer and I buy all my sock yarn from her. I am looking forward to visiting there again soon. Her Husband is a beautiful woodworker as well.🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
I love your podcast .I live in Australia and grew up in the city of Lismore New South Wales Australia I didn’t know Canada had a town called Lismore and I have been to the eastern side of Canada and found it very beautiful
Thanks so much!!! Really enjoyed it all,,, Love east,,,,and been to encompassing designs,,,and her rug hooking,,,,!! Loved seeing all the yarns,,, Elaine 💗💗💗
Another short row convert here. I started a lap blanket to (among other things) learn the damn German short row. And by golly I did!!! And lovely trip, wish I could follow that route...
I love that you chose a blanket to knit with the short row that you wanted to practice, as I'm sure you had a ton of them in the blanket. I'm excited for you!
I am catching up with your podcasts and I love your holiday trips. As I am from a small town in Ireland called Lismore, I had to pop into the Lismore Sheep farm website and treat myself to some yarn and a mitten kit. Your knitting is gorgeous, I love your tops and jumpers.
Jennifer I love your podcast!! I'm a crocheter but love all things yarnie 💜🧶 and really enjoy your trips too. Thanks for sharing your love of yarn and travel with us
Hi Jennifer, I really enjoy your podcast. I lived in Toronto 25 years ago for 3 years, but never had the chance to travel east. Definetely on my bucketlist. Greetings from Munich, Germany, Heike
I"m from just outside of Halifax in Herring Cove! What a small world :) And so much fun to hear about your trip here and all of the lovely yarn you picked up! I'm heading to The Loop this weekend for a little browse inspired by these videos haha
On your loves sweater curse breaker, pick up normal stitches then do a two sided gusset under the arm to give room for his dress shirt under the sweater. Dress shirts have roomy sleeves for men in the pit area to allow for an undershirt and breathing room.
Thank you! I'm assuming we're talking sweaters? I feel there are great suggestions by knitting gurus like Andrea Mowry, Andrea from Fruity Knitting. Jessie Maed has beautifully detailed instructions on directing best fit for her patterns. Consider checking out blog.tincanknits.com/2018/10/12/how-to-choose-your-size/ by Tin Can Knits. I LOVE my thrummed mitts that I made. They are the only gloves that keep my hands completely warm in the winter.
That's exciting! I love that you shared this with me. These mittens are intended to be a gift for a friend....however, I may love them too much!

Thank you very much! Crochet is a fibre art that I have only dipped my toe into. I can't wait to expand my horizons with crochet.

Thank you, Heike! It's a beautiful part of Canada.
🤣pre blocking your yarn! The lengths you go to to bring us yarns goodness 🌟
Ha! Thanks for your fun comment! Rain or shine, there will be beautiful yarn shared at any length.
When I do a long tail cast on, I use either 2 balls of yarn or the center pull and outside yarn of one ball. Hope that helps
Thank you for sharing! I have seen this technique in videos, but have never tried it. I shall. :)

I love this idea! This sounds so fancy. I'm looking into a two-sided gusset now!
Your knits are beautiful...any hints about getting a good fit?

What yarn did you use in the orange sweater you are wearing?
Sorry I didn't add it to the show notes. I used Knitting for Olive Merino and their silk mohair in Hokkaido.
Could you please use metric measurements for needle size. We are Canadian
Great idea! Thanks.
