@SOUTHERN LIFE: You merged incorrectly! You don't just stop in the middle of the road when the light is green and expect people to just let you into the lane. You should just keep moving forward with the green light, politely turn on your left turn signal and then when it is safe, move over into the left lane. I am a local. You do not have the right of way, you created an unsafe driving situation. It's no wonder they were honking at you.
You got it right. There are more than what you said in the comments. When they turn left, they sit as a duck, and when they drive straight, they drive as a NASCAR 's driver!
Drivers here are nut. They would go opposite of what you are thinking! Many drivers run red lights here in AZ. Many are speeding. Many will cut in front of you. Many don’t stop to turn right at the red lights. Many don’t pay any attention on the traffic signs!
"Asshole drivers" when you can't merge correctly. You don't have the right of way to just sit in your lane at a green light. Move with the flow of traffic, turn on your signal, then merge when safe to do so.
I’m not sure about your experience with driving in Tucson. I used to live in Tucson and didn’t notice that drivers were particularly rude or aggressive. When I lived in Chicago, I noticed that drivers were much more aggressive, compared to Tucson. I’m not sure what was happening the day you were there.
It was more than a few years ago. I currently live in Phoenix metro and it seems like drivers here are just really fast and sort of aggressive like California but most people don’t freak out if you merge in front of them here. They just fly around you. I remember Tucson being a lot more laid back than Phoenix when I lived there. I plan to go down in a month or two for a visit so I will see if things have changed.
Florida drivers are the worst-case. Driving 55 miles a hour in 65 mph speed zones in the fast lane. Your stereotyped of Tucson will not work. You have worst drivers in Jacksonville Florida and Miami Florida than Tucson Arizona . Secondly, you both preferred traveling along the worst of roads in Tucson. I have lived here for decades. I am amaze by your options. Secondly, i have driven across Florida. The slowest of drivers.
Lived in Tucson, moved to Benson 7 years ago. My brother and sister live in Matlacha, I go back to visit periodically. To compare drivers in Tucson to Lee county is hilarious.
But you are right us to some drivers first we don't like people who stay out of the fast lane if you're not gonna drive fast and there's a lot of fucked up drivers here. I completely agree with you on that.
I'd have to say El Paso, TX takes the cake for most inconsiderate drivers and absolute worst and passive aggressive drivers in the country. I always almost get hit when I go back to visit. I recently drove in Houston and sad to say, it was much easier driving there than in El Paso.
@@AustinDashes Try getting out of a parking lot in El Paso when it's crowded and see if anyone lets you. They all block you. The cars behind begin honking. Try passing someone on a two lane road with the dashed yellow lines. I tried once, the asshole raced with me and forced me to run a stop sign. Luckily, nobody was there. I once got shouted at from another driver who told me to get off the phone in El Paso. In Phoenix, I can change lanes and people let you and leave space. Forget it in El Paso, if you change lanes sometimes, they come honking with the finger and cutting you off. I was once followed and almost confronted there for switching lanes. A family member recently told me that his coworker was followed to the Cielo Vista Mall parking lot and the driver yelled and screamed at her and cussed her out and gave her the finger. It's much easier dealing with drivers anywhere else in the country. I'll even take LA traffic over El Paso traffic. Why? Better and less rude drivers. I was recently in El Paso, and nobody even allowed me to back out and had to wait a while.
@@NothingToSeeHere-d4r ha! What you're describing sound like Austin to me. That's where I live. I have to drive through El Paso to get to Tucson where my family is and it looks nice! Drivers here in Texas can be edgy douches for sure like everything is ego driven or a race. Smdh.
Driving anywhere in Texas is 1000 times worse than Tucson. Pretty sure like five people in this whole state know turn signals exist, and if you don't ride the bumper in front of you, you're welcoming anyone to cut you off. In Houston and San Antionio, people constantly flash their guns at drivers for mild traffic blunders and in conveniences. It's a dystopian hellscape. Tucson is fine if you're not a pansy. My only complaints about Tucson are the potholes, constant construction, and high number of cyclists.
Where you end up depends on where your kids are. In my case, my second home is where my daughter lives full time in Bonita Springs. Arizona is great to visit, don't want to live there.
TS recently has accidents almost every day. Many of those relate to tailgating. They are driving too close and too fast. Most of those drivers are immigrants!
I'm sorry I live in Tucson and I live up SPEEDWAY up by Pantano. You are not in the hood. If you wanna go to the hood go down to Irvington and 12th or go down Prince and flowing Wells area. This is actually the nicest part of town to next to foothills where you were just at
The sky is gorgeous there. You feel so close to it.
2,500 FEET ABOVE SEA-LEVEL.

you guys are funny and hope you have a great time wherever you are at. 😊
At 6:40, that was my old neighborhood when I lived in Tucson.
I lived in Phoenix and old people crossing streets and kids were killed by young drivers going way to fast and being rude .
🤣🤣😂 His Teddy Bear fell LOL
You guys should stop in shamrock Texas it's a nice friendly town!

How long ago you lived there tho? Things can change in a few years

How long was that? Maybe Chicagoians are living here now!
Send in hundreds of undercover agents to Tucson and merge all day with plates from other states and make bank giving road rage tickets.

I been to Florida several times and the drivers there are just as inconsiderate if not more. And remember it's the home to the University of Arizona

Damn, you think so? Huh. Probably just because a lot of people are just trying to get through it on I-10

Rich people quit playing and drive in the South Side.
The roads are very wide, encouraging bad driving.
The foothills? Ha ha ha ha!
