Hello Michael great video. You might know this by now a year after your post but there's a great case for the AirPods I absolutely love. It's the Smatree Airpods Max Charging Dock Case for Airpods Max, 2000 mAh Battery Charging Case with Sleep Mode, Airpods Max Charging Station Support Auto Sleep, Airpods Max Travel Charging Portable Bag. Due to the use of steel rather than titanium, these headphones are heavy and uncomfortable to wear for some people. The cheap looking netted headband that looks worse over time provides no cushioning. For the hefty price, Apple could have provided a cushioned headband. Recommend padding the headband with bubble wrap if discomfort is an issue. The looks, sound, noise cancelling, etc. of these pods are great. There are as good or slightly better sounding headphones for less. However, it depends on how you plan to use them. Apple is great for switching between modalities and to use with your other Apple devices. Also, would appreciate more ability to adjust within Spatial sound and to more easily switch between Stereo and Spatial. The magnetic case is cool but flimsy leaving the fragile head band exposed. So, I bought a case with enough room to store the headphones along with their case.
I would imagine that the hard plastic ear covers would get dust trapped in between and scratch up the aluminum, but hopefully that is not the case. A skin or something is what I think that I might get if I pick up a pair of these at all.
Torn between the Spigen case and the other cases with the sleep magnets, the fact those don’t have a lid on the compartment area is such a huge L imo Spigen one seems to be the only one on Amazon who thought of that 💀
I know! They’re all so close but yet so far. The low power mode is a must so if you don’t mind using the bra then go for the Spigen. Personally for me, with the other cases I used a couple of strips of Velcro to cover the compartment so the bits in there are safe.

Can you use the silicone cups inside the smart case? Like would the smart case still work?

No issue with mine. But i clean all my stuff regularly as well.
