Amazing Stuff! I am a new streamer, and have been totally ingrained with setting up OBS… Until now. This software is amazing and makes life so much simpler for me. The only problem is now I have to redo my entire stream deck! Thanks for doing this and I look forward to more videos. When I first started watching you, I thought your bit over the top, but I've started to really enjoy your content A LOT! It is readily apparent you work very hard to produce the content that you do-and it is appreciated. Thank you again!
Thanks so much. All your videos are super helpful for us as we find our footing as new creators/streamers (coming from a virtual tour site that closed).
as always, great video Mike! Would love for them to add comments as overlay in the game like Twitch Studio has, I find that super useful especially when streaming games that require me to keep my eyes on the game. And another great thing Twitch Studio has is separating the audio sources per app, so if I want users to not hear the youtube video I'm running in Chrome, I could do that by not adding chrome sound to the stream...
I like your vids. I'm fairly new to creating content and the hardest part is really getting the hang of all of this software. I watched your video on how to use my GoPro as a webcam for obs and the difference in quality is outstanding. Keep up the good work and thanks for educating us. I dropped a like, a comment and I subscribed homie 💪🏼💯
My biggest deterrent is the increase CPU Usage / GPU usage compared to OBS. If they can bring that down a notch, I could consider using it. Seems like it has a solid set of features however. For Green Screen background removal, I never had good luck with the one built into OBS and ended up biting the bullet and picked up XSplit vCam. Overall, I've been very happy with the product & their customer service, but not so much their other tools I trialed.
I literally was thinking about how to multi-stream, make a clock and fix my green screen but you solved all my problems with just this one video, never heard about prism before, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Great video Michael. PersXpress uses Prism on location for reports (news, incidents, etc.), as well as the Atomos Connect with the Ninja V monitor/recorder for the proxy images to 4K. Prism is very useful indeed. Also as OBS. Greetings, also to Monica and see you on Wednesday.
Great Video and I recently switched to Prism because of one of your videos. I love the multistream and chat features. I do miss move transitions and more complex color correction features. As well is blur effects but I've made do without them.
I have been streaming on RUclips and Twitch simultaneously for about 7 months and am just about to my 2k sub mark. I want to up my stream quality setting up alerts and chat on stream stuff like that. I am struggling so hard with obs. Alerts don't come through right away, Can't get tippers names to come up. Been thinking streamelements is the problem but with all the hours I have stuck into it and still not fixed it I am ready to throw in the towel. Maybe this would suit me better. Thx for your vids man they have been super helpful. Yes we trust you to tell us the truth, you have not led me wrong in the past. Appreciate you.
I've tried prism and found it to be really easy to operate for our church stream apart from the efficiency issue which is not really a big issue for us and the really annoying text repeat and lack of timing to control the text coming in, time it spends on screen and going off screen which I use touchportal as my only mean to control but by far not good enough as I loose the motion in and out and have to settle for fade effects. I've already assigned it to be our backup incase OBS or restream gives me issues. Hoping that is sorted out soon and I can try moving prism up my priority list as it's less fiddling around and I'm hoping to use the multi stream feature soon.
I have a crazy complex Stream setup that I have built over the last 7 years that allows me to basically stream whatever I want. All gaming platforms, 3d Animation & enviroments, Effects, etc.. I have a dedicated Streaming PC & Separate Gaming PC. I can see Prisim is making huge strides. I LOVE the built in features you showed. On Your recommendation I’m going to give this a try. Thanks again Michael for the heads up. Another fantastic & informative video. ❤🤘
This is amazing to know that Prism's ease will help new content creators to ramp up quicker. Am struggling with a few issues in OBS so this is very welcome.
@Soap Box Champion Podcast I’m having issues with the Lower Thirds, for my social media handles. The interface on his tutorial is slightly different, wondering if I have the same version.
1st, I would like to thank you for putting me onto Prism Live Studio. I love it!! Love it! The write on screen thing is HUGE!! Prism does use resources, so I am using it on a separate computer. ONE problem -- NDI. OBS accepts NDI sources AND outputs NDI. Prism accepts NDI... but unless I am overlooking it... it does not OUTPUT NDI. And THAT is a major MAJOR disappointment. So, can it do it? If so, it would be PERFECT!!! Thanks for all you do, man.
Mike, honestly BEST video of yours I've seen too date. HIT all the boxes as a simple but effective informative piece. Icing on the cake was when you mentioned "restream" capabilities just after the 6 min mark, instantly clicked and this is a must have streaming tool (from an OBS seasoned vet ). While the little touches of how much resources the broadcaster was using was really relevant information for myself personally. Keep up the great work. Peace.
Two missing features that come to mind are browser docks and plugin support, or at the very least, a virtual camera filter that can be added to scenes. Other than that, it's just about perfect for my needs.
New to Prism & luv it so far. Trying to figure out how to integrate Zoom with Prism brings up problems that I've not yet seen solutions to so far. Specifically, I have only a limited need to broadcast to RUclips or any of the other large audiences. Most of my broadcasts are to fewer than 10 people. I would love to be able to interact beyond a chat screen -- like face cams for an audience of up to... say 30 people... in a Zoom type invironmet, but with all the bells & whistles of Prism. Beyond that, suppose I actually wanted to do a big broadcast of a Prism-cleaned up Zoom conference. You get the idea...
I would like to see how you set up (from scratch) an introduction animation, music, countdown, then how to use Prism Live Studio live streaming on youtube. I am currently undecided between OBS and Prism, so this would help a lot. Thanks! Step by step pls.
I enjoy your videos. They are very well done and entertaining. I run Linux -only- though, and this gets filed in my "not useful" bucket. It would be appreciated if you would mention "Windows ONLY" at the beginning of your video as a matter of respect for my time. Or perhaps a simple word of warning in the description.
You are awesome Michael, I am going to use *Prism Live* in my next stream & I will let you know my feedback ✌✌ Thanks for your efforts & you really help us a lot
@@MichaelFeyrerJr I had an accident 12 years ago and thus have difficulty with hard tasks ( slight TBI ) It took hours to set up obs and then streamlabs. I want to say thanks for all your vids because audio instruction I can understand but written are so diffucult now.
Great video! Looks like an excellent streaming platform. I wish you had mentioned that it was windows only though. I’ll look forward to a Mac version, if they ever create one.
Great idea! But we are already preparing for it. However, it is expected that it will take some time because it requires quite a lot of preparations :'-)

Also it would be great if u added support for Nvidia broadcast webcam noise suppression with in prism so that I can use it on my phone when I'm using the prism mobile app as a webcam
For the instream chat, is there a way to see the combined chat in another window or anything outside the stream? We're looking for a good way to monitor multi-stream chat. So if this has that ability built in we could avoid using Restream's chat application.
I have Prism Live Studio for my android mobile. I stream my game in either recorded video or live stream, but when doing live stream, i have difficulties getting the intro and start screen to switch the camera to me on the screen recording option. Could you showcase this and how to make it work. Cheers
All the things that you’ve outlined that Prism does, OBS 28 can do with well established plugins from the resources section on their site with the exception of built in animated text etc. but as a live production manager and streamer myself, you want those baked in and not chugging cpu/gpu while trying to render them in real time against all of your background. It’s a lot of shiny for much less overall functionality than I have within OBS as I’ve built mine out.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Ig the counter to that would be that a "new streamer" probably has even less invested into their setup so having a tick off of their performance could create issues. Plus putting out a software that has abilities that online tutorials such as the one on your channel utilize seems counterintuitive on your part. You can teach someone how to edit animated and 3d text in davinci/fusion, and get clicks and help creators actually create, and not just have a bunch of buttons to press to add noise to their stream.
It always looks trivial to do things in OBS when you've been working with it for a while. But for a new streamer, the learning curve can actually be discouraging. Imagine what it takes to create a lower-third in OBS, compared to the ease Prism provides. Also, plugins don't always work in OBS. I've been unable to switch to OBS 28 because of this.
Thanks for the video, Michael! If PRISM LIVE STUDIO is reading this, then it should definitely take a look and FIX WEB sources for H2R graphics. H2R graphics is a tool for overlaying a whole package of text graphics and whatnot. A tool by John Barker from "Here to Record". This tool works in OBS (via Browser source), but doesn't want to work in PRISM LIVE STUDIO (via WEB source).
I love your content and delivery. I am trying to get my streaming computer to recognize the Game PC with NDI from Prism. Running from Prism Game PC to StreamLabs Stream Computer. I add NDI source but it isn't finding it from Prism. Any ideas or videos you have on this?
I am loving your tutorials on Live Streaming. I just got Prism Studio for Mac. The one thing I can't find is how to hid the broadcast window from the stream. Do you know how to do that?
Thank you for this tutorial video it was great, I would like to know if you could do a tutorial on the multi-streaming built-in function and adding on extra people for Livestream on prime studio. Thank you again and keep up the good work,,💯👍
I really really wanna try this. I am just nervous to try it and find that my streams might become laggy or gameplay laggy while streaming. no harm in trying it tho, right? I only have medium tier pc. gtx1080, ryzen 7 1700, 16g ddr4 ram, and ab350m gaming motherboard. i hope it does not make too much difference in stream or game cause the games i usually play are a lil demanding on my gpu.
Do they have a roadmap or timeline of development? Like near and long term goals? I'd like to see that. Might also add that last I checked, you could not stream Minecraft or newer CoD games, as well as a couple of others. Looking forward to them overcoming that so i can switch my kids (Minecraft players) to Prism
I'd like to see them make the clock autostart when you open the scene. It's counterintuitive to have to right click the clock and go into the settings while the countdown just sits there on your screen.
I recently had to reinstall obs to make it detect my audio input. Instead of reconfiguring my scenes again i will check this out instead. Thanks for letting us know about it ✌️
Thank You sir for this because i needed all features like this app but i have an question if you answer it, what if i stream live in low pc would it be perfect or not ?? because i have an working pc
It seems really interesting. I have been kicking it around the last few days. The biggest detractor at the moment is the lack up plugins. I rely on things like touch portal and NDI (2 PC stream). Other than that, it seems awesome.
I stream on multiple platforms so this works for me and since its free to stream compare to using restream... For now I can work with the increase CPU Usage / GPU usage until this is resolved but there is one thing I would like to see added, Chat from each platform can be seen on all platforms.
I run a very simple stream wiht not a lot of elements because I stream from a single mid-tier PC. So the CPU/GPU usage is going to be an issue for me. And I hate adding plugins to OBS because they can break with OBS updates (OBS 28 anyone?). So if the CPU/GPU usage could become more efficient with Prism I would seriously consider changing. Great work by the way and keep up the content!!
Hey my good friend, thanks for your efforts to bring this to our attention. I wanted to confirm if the Prism Live can actually livestream on multiple platforms at the same time. Great job 👏 👍 ❤️
Re: Multi Platform streaming. Does Prism provide the hub for all the different platforms (ie: a single stream OUT)? or If I am streaming to Facebook, Instagram, and RUclips, does the stream get sent our 3 times to the 3 different platforms?
I played around with it last night. The green screen/background remover is great. Not being able to snap click my chat, alerts, and things all together on one page was the deal breaker for me. I think they will fix this in the future though. I'm also curious if it works with with the elgato stream deck or not. That is another issue for those who have been streaming for awhile.
Is there an option where you can click on a specific chat comment where it can then appear across the screen? Making it possible to target a specific question or comment that the streamer can address without having to keep scrolling through trying to manage the q&a mixed with the rest of the chat?
That was awesome, ah I'm sold even when it's free. Question 1 let's say I want to have a screen showing a content in the background not a full background but a tv screen will it work question 2 What if I want to get everyone on one platform especially I'm trying to grow my RUclips channel it stream to one or does it have to be all platforms at once? That's all for now Michael you did it again.
I tried Prism based on your review, and I liked it, but on startup I get told my video card is not good enough, even though it seemed to work(intel uhd graphics 620)but after the last update, the usb mic audio is now out of synch. I switched because I couldn't get OBS Studio in synch, but they recently did a big update, and now it's in synch, and no error message on startup. So..I like Prism, but back to OBS Studio for me..lol
Hi! New to Prism. How do you switch between scenes while streaming? For example I have Scene A where only my face is shown and I have another scene (Scene B) where the game is running and I'm just inside a smaller rectangle. I have both scenes prepared under the "Scenes" work area but I can't seem to switch from Scene A to B. Any help? Much thank you...
always love your contents, dear michael it is possible to use your background camera I always love it, if yes can u upload the image please so I can use ?
My screen is ONLY black when I stream to Twitch and I followed your guide to the "tee" for setting up Prism Live Studio for streaming. Is there a specific SCENE I need to have active when I stream?
My first question that comes to mind, is can it teleport to other PCs that have Prism Live Stream like OBS can? If so, then I'm sold. I already have it on other devices, but since I haven't had the chance to figure it out because I don't know what to look for. So pretty much I play games on my gaming PC, and I have an HP aio PC that I use for recording, or I just simply plug my PlayStation 4 HDMI into a capture card and plug that into my recording PC ( the aio) and just play and record away. But for my gaming PC, I use the teleport plugin for OBS to record on another pc so that my gaming PC is mainly focused on the game. So can I teleport with prism? If not, then there's always another way to record other PCs, this wouldn't stop me from switching.
Hi, I tried to use Prism Live Studio.. love that software but its taking too much CPU.. I have on my streaming PC Intel I7 9700k and CPU usage was 50+% so I switched back to OBS.
Currently going back and forth between OBS and SLOBS, both of which have been freezing mid stream lately. It's so frustrating. I'll be Live Streaming tonight and I hope to be able to try out Prism. I hope it works for me.
Prism Live is great but it does lack an "Audio Input Capture" feature that OBS currently has. They need to add this and then it'll be perfect. Unless there is a way to have this feature, can you please make a video on this? Thanks and love your channel. It has helped me with so many obs features that I never thought possible. And I definitely wouldn't have known about Prism Live studio if it wasn't for you.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr I'm not talking about an "Application Audio Capture". That I do have activated already. But I was wondering if there was a way to capture audio from a source like a capture card?
Only problems I have is that alerts don't come through. I also couldn't tag a game on facebook. I also heard that if you don't set you're facebook stream up via stream key you're minutes don't register with them.
One question I haven't been able to find an answer for with PRISM. Is there any way to do a text slideshow element? for example, I want "MY NAME" to display for 10 seconds and then change to "MY SOCIALS" for 10 and then switch back and forth in a looping fashion. I was able to do this with the text-slideshow plugin for OBS a while back, but that isn't being updated any more sadly :(
I have been tinkering with prism, but using the prism cam I notice a little lag with the video. For this I’ll just use it when i feel like being goofy, I enjoy being able to draw on the screen, but for good smooth video I can’t bring myself to use the prism cam for effects. Using just the camera input is fine but then you can’t do some of the effects. 🤷🏼♂️
Hello, Thanks for vidio but i have an ishue with it. If I try to stream some FPS game here or some game I have a lot of lags. For example I want to stream Valorant, but I have a lot of drops if I go live. I don't know how can I solve this problem. Do you have some advice for me? Thanks a lot :)
Hello, I'm not sure if this is a bug or if the feature has not been implemented into the software. I am having issues with the client not being able to ctrl+z (undo) or ctrl+y (redo). This is clearly going to be an issue for creators not being able to go back or forward on the project they're currently editing.
Hi Michael, thank you for this tutorial. I want to ask if it is possible to click on a scene or source, and it will appear in the Preview. Even it is below another layer. That will be great. Keep the good work. I am learning a lot. Now Prism is the main streaming software that I am using in the church. Kind Regards.
Do you mean like studio mode in OBS? Maybe look for that same feature in Prism. I don't have Prism open to find it but maybe they have the same feature.
Thank you for this video, but I have two questions that I can't seem to find through Google. Can you Multistream with Prism? and can I take a home video dvd and play it through Prism and get sound without having to do weird sound adjustments through Windows? (My group had a potluck and we want to share the video of it through our stream and while people can see, they cannot hear through OBS and I'm having trouble even with the workarounds that I've found.)

Thank you so much buddy i digg whole youtube for this but you are the only one ❤️🔥
Glad to help.
I recently had to reinstall obs to make it detect my audio input. Instead of reconfiguring my scenes again i will check this out instead. Thanks for letting us know about it ✌️
im try this for my game streaming and test this .. As always thank you mike
Thank You sir for this because i needed all features like this app
but i have an question if you answer it,
what if i stream live in low pc would it be perfect or not ??
because i have an working pc
It seems really interesting. I have been kicking it around the last few days. The biggest detractor at the moment is the lack up plugins. I rely on things like touch portal and NDI (2 PC stream). Other than that, it seems awesome.
It works with ndi
@@MichaelFeyrerJr I will have to try it out.😃
I stream on multiple platforms so this works for me and since its free to stream compare to using restream... For now I can work with the increase CPU Usage / GPU usage until this is resolved but there is one thing I would like to see added, Chat from each platform can be seen on all platforms.
Are they planning to incorporate stream elemenst? That would be an awesome intregation.
Does Prism provide the hub for all the different platforms (ie: a single stream OUT)? or
If I am streaming to Facebook, Instagram, and RUclips, does the stream get sent our 3 times to the 3 different platforms?
I played around with it last night. The green screen/background remover is great. Not being able to snap click my chat, alerts, and things all together on one page was the deal breaker for me. I think they will fix this in the future though. I'm also curious if it works with with the elgato stream deck or not. That is another issue for those who have been streaming for awhile.
That's what I'm looking for. Stream deck integration.
Is there an option where you can click on a specific chat comment where it can then appear across the screen? Making it possible to target a specific question or comment that the streamer can address without having to keep scrolling through trying to manage the q&a mixed with the rest of the chat?
Thanks! Michael - you've helped me a lot:)
Thank you!!!
So..I like Prism, but back to OBS Studio for me..lol
that was exactly what I needed , thank you so much
I'm going to try this. Thanks.
I have tried it out it's a nice software let them work on the transition . God bless them for their efforts
Tried Prism a week ago and it's amazingly easy to setup your scenes
always love your contents, dear michael it is possible to use your background camera I always love it, if yes can u upload the image please so I can use ?
Awesome Product and video!
Yea, I'm about to give Prism a try for my next live stream
this is honestly awesome, if prism allows browser sources like obs i would be switching myself and importing all of my stuff from obs into prism
Prism if you could incorporate a digital stream deck or an app extension that could turn your phone/tablet into a stream deck i would 100% switch
It does have it. You just have to activate it.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr I'm not talking about an "Application Audio Capture". That I do have activated already. But I was wondering if there was a way to capture audio from a source like a capture card?
@@SenseiFELIXYes it works exactly like OBS in that way.
Only problems I have is that alerts don't come through. I also couldn't tag a game on facebook. I also heard that if you don't set you're facebook stream up via stream key you're minutes don't register with them.
Michael does it have an auto scene switcher like the OBS plugin Advanced Scene Switcher?
Is that some way to customize the unified chat or the clock built in?
One question I haven't been able to find an answer for with PRISM. Is there any way to do a text slideshow element? for example, I want "MY NAME" to display for 10 seconds and then change to "MY SOCIALS" for 10 and then switch back and forth in a looping fashion. I was able to do this with the text-slideshow plugin for OBS a while back, but that isn't being updated any more sadly :(
Thank you, I prefer this one over OBS.
Great video Mike. What about stream deck integration?
It’s available.
I'm strongly considering switching because my streamdeck isn't connecting to OBS, so does a streamdeck when with prism live?
Awesome! Is there a way to add my tablet to my stream, so I can write with my pen?
8:55
Do they have split screen,
Rumble included in multiplatform stream,
Customisable Chat with many options?
I have been tinkering with prism, but using the prism cam I notice a little lag with the video. For this I’ll just use it when i feel like being goofy, I enjoy being able to draw on the screen, but for good smooth video I can’t bring myself to use the prism cam for effects. Using just the camera input is fine but then you can’t do some of the effects. 🤷🏼♂️
Definitely going to try it.
Cool! Let us know what you think!
I imagine you can setup audio ducking in it? I’ll have to see, that’s one thing I love with obs
Will Prism Live Studio get a 2 PC NDI streaming option? If so, how far down the road map is it?
Sir, the prism live setup (the .exe) reboots my laptop when i open it, and i download it from the original website. Please help, how 2 install it?
Great new product! Certainly aimed at the right segment...beginners (for now!!)..can it be controlled by Elgato Stream Deck?
There is a plug-in for prism in Streamdeck.
Hello, I'm not sure if this is a bug or if the feature has not been implemented into the software. I am having issues with the client not being able to ctrl+z (undo) or ctrl+y (redo). This is clearly going to be an issue for creators not being able to go back or forward on the project they're currently editing.
Do they sort cpu, memory and graphic use issues, remember one of your video you said about
Hi Michael, thank you for this tutorial.
You can multi stream. I dont know the answer to your DVD question.
