She is very entertaining in this game. I'm glad they gave her a bigger role in this. Plus, she's a beast in combat.
I'm glad she got a bigger role too, but she's very much an acquired taste for those unused to Japanese storytelling. I'm sharing the game with my mother and she's DESPERATE for her to disappear.
I guess Remake decided to give her more screen time compared to the OG game where she's an optional character and doesn't even appear in the cutscenes.

In the Original FF7 Yuffie was one of 2 optional party members.
Originaly Yuffie was planed to be a normal party member and Wutai to take a bigger role in the Story, but because of not enough time she and Wutai became optional side content in the OG FF7.
Now in the Remake they have fixed that, now Yuffie and Wutai take the role they originaly planed for them.
Huh. Out of curiosity, where did you hear that from? Cause I just checked the wiki and saw nothing of the sort referring to this.

Both Yuffie and Vincent were going to be cut from the game due to lack of time, though Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase vetoed it, and they became optional characters as a result.

@lubbo5261 Oh. Yeah, I knew about that. I was referring to how Yuffie was supposed to be a mandatory member and Wutai being set to have a bigger role in the story. My apologies.
@@superlombax1561 According to the Final Fantasy VII Ultimania Omega, during early plans for Final Fantasy VII, Wutai was much different from how it appears in the final product: Wutai was to be a town built around the temple for the "Wutaia faith", a religion dominated by female hierarchy that worshiped a female deity. The current hierarch was to be the young Sasame-no-Himemiko, the 89th in line. Due to Sasame being only 15 years old, the real leader would be the high priestess, Izayoi. Godo would not have been the leader, but rather the head of the Kisaragi family, the servants to the Wutaia leader.[14]
Shinra's goal in the town would have been to build a Reactor to harvest the rich Mako below "Ten Faced Mountain", as Da-chao was originally called. Presumably the Wutai War would not have occurred, but the leaders of the Wutaia faith and the townspeople would have opposed to Shinra's plans of building the Reactor, and in turn, Shinra would have imposed high custom charges on goods entering Wutai, to make the people of Wutai suffer.[14]
My absolute favorite dialogue option is "bring it on" when she initially challenges Cloud to a duel. Without breaking eye contact with her, completely stone-faced he reaches over his shoulder with one hand for his sword, and she immediately freaks out and says "tactical retreat!" while running away.

These monologues make her standout more as a character. I could imagine her doing this with Sephiroth.

They really elevated Yuffie in Intermission and Rebirth. I never liked her in the OG, she was like one note. In the remakes, she shines 💪
I believe if you played Crisis Core you see her slightly more, but she was also an optional character like Vincent, so narratively there wasnt meant to be additional background for her in mid-game.
I love how eventually the devs gave up giving you the option to choose.
Can’t wait to see how they do the Wutai arc.

When I first saw this in Intermission I thought Yuffie would do this to the group and Cloud would ignore it. Turns out I was right

Yuffie is such a lovable character that you just wish you could talk to her and be like, 'kid, you're doing a good job.' It would be great if upon after killing Scarlet, she loses composure thinking about Sonon and starts attacking the broken machine. Cloud, Tifa, and Red could give her a hug to calm her down.
interesting sound amd music mixing where the music drowns out the voice actors to the point that you have to read the subtitles to properly understand what is going on.
I don't mind subtitles, in fact I will as a default have them turn them on the games I play.
Yeah the default is like that for some reason, so i turned the music volume down quite a bit.
In this scene Yuffie remembers me Rikku in FFX, during the walk in the thunder plains and wanna to rest in al bhed place, wishing to all team to stay for her life..

Often times the English dub for this kind of bubbly character is cringey, but actually her voice actor here is very good and not cringey at all.
Finally a female game character who is cute like and crazy like Auriana from LoliRock and Entrapta from She-Ra and Princesses Of Power. Cute and crazy in a good way. I really miss characters like that. Funny. Cute. Feminine. Not always dark or serious. This game is a true masterpiece. When a game has really different and good written female characters you know it's a masterpiece.

Nope, she always joins.
Unlike Original, Yuffie here in remake is a mandatory to join your cause if you tried to refuse her offer. She just basically force herself to join in

In the og, Yuffie was added late in development so she wasn't showing up as much throughout the story. But with the trilogy, she'll be there at the more important parts now
Yuffie is like the energetic little sister trying to act tough so she can fit in with her older, bada** siblings. Problem is big brother (Cloud) is extremely hard to please and he doesn’t back down from a challenge period. I went with the “bring it” option and she regretted it instantly cuz if you look at Clouds face close enough, he was willing to go all out 😂
The best option is you can come with after selecting beat it, kinda and hardly.

It has a dynamic resolution. it's a little blurry in the open world, but the towns look really good.
