Brendan, love your yachtmaster, but what made you choose that over the Root Beer? I am torn between the two, but tending towards the GMT as I travel a lot.
Answer : I think Omega is better than Rolex. The reason being, as a watch wearer, I want to buy the watch as cheaply as possible... because I'm not going to flip it. For £15,000 I bought a Rolex GMT Master 2 "Rootbeer" (3285 caliber) which is a nice watch. But it's weighty, high polished surfaces scratch easily, high bling makes me think twice where I wear it. For £16,500 I bought TWO Omega watches. A Speedmaster Moonphase Stainless Steel with 18k Sedna Gold on brown leather strap (9904 caliber co-axial master chronometer)... plus a Seamaster 300 Chronograph in Stainless Steel and 18k Sedna Gold (9900 caliber co-axial master chronometer) on a black rubber strap, both with 5 year warranty. The Omega set is much better 'value' for money in my opinion, greater complications and a pleasure to wear. No scratches to worry about. Side by side, all three watches compliment each other, and are easily as good quality as each other. But Rolex is just too expensive for what it is. Just as an example 😊
Question : I have two watch box collections. My seriously expensive watches in one box, and my beaters in another. Is a beater watch collection just as valid?
I bought this popular video watch from mamacoo , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
Automatic How good are new Seiko 5 in terms of durability? Can they be used for everyday military training with shooting and stuff and survive that abuse for a longer period of time?
I want a stainless Datejust 36, fluted with Jubilee and silver bezel. Is there a sweet spot with these models? They seem to depreciate a bit like a car so I'm thinking used might make sense.
The day Rolex will be capable to release a complication as Omega always did, maybe we can talk about Rolex being as the same level of Omega. Unfortunately this is the reality as of today when the Rolex is not able to beyond the Skydweller. About the sportwatches definitely Rolex make slightly better watches, but still not enough to justify the hype and the difference in pricetag between the two brands. If upon that we add the huge gap in history of horology, there is no discussion Omega surclasses Rolex anyway. For an aperitive after work in Central London I would wear still my OP over the Omega, just to wear something people or hookers can recognize. In a meeting with watch entusiasts or collector I would wear my speedy though.

100% Rolex is better than Omega. However Rolex are bigger assholes and especially their ADs the one where I live anyway. They try and push their BS jewelery to even be considered getting a Rolex.🤬
Hi Brendan like this new video am really surprised that you're grail watch IS A patek Philippe as it's more of a dress watch than a sports watch. patek Philippe just doesn't do it for me I can appreciate how well made they are and some of the complications are mind-blowing but I can honestly say there is not any model (at the moment)I would want to own and it's not about the price . great video thanks John 👍.
Question for next time: What percentage of Omega fanboys, fans, owners are obsessed with Rolex, compared to the percentage of Rolex fanboys, fans, owners that give a Flying Fook about Omega anything?

Why when Omega adds a little gold to a watch or bracelet the price goes up way to much any reason why ??
Same reason as Rolex. Or the same reason iPhones cost more with more Ram. It’s an upgrade option.
