    There's a lot of mallet videos out there but most are crazy extravagant. You hit a good balance between nice looking and useable! Thanks for providing clear, concise instructions in an enjoyable format. Best of luck to you.

      Thanks! This is the same style my great grandfather, who was a carpenter, would have used, although it would have been beech. Simple and time-tested.

    Nicely done. One question: is there no need to secure the mallet head other than a pressure fit? Interesting?!?

      Thanks. Yeah, the momentum when you swing it only makes it fit tighter. You can also take it apart easily as traditionally you'd take it apart to store in your traveling carpenters tool box.
