It's really a good idea because i heard many of times at the Jakarta airport there are some Corrupted officers and they target to solo travellers and ask for bribe ..
Bullshit. Jakarta officials are right on the ball and are nice guys and girls. Sure in the old days stuff went on, but not now.

I used them 6 weeks ago and never been so fast. It was just a few seconds because I was the only one who used them. All the others were in the queue to make an VOA.

@@nicksmith3746 Yes, already since November 2022 I make an e-VOA online. I think already 8 times till now. But the autogates are a very good improvement, before I still had to queue at the immigration too.

I used already 8 times the e-Voa and extended each time online. Except one time in December, there were some issues with my credit credit card and I had to extend at the immigration office.

hi if you get VOA online do you need a printed hardcopy for the autogate or can you have it just on your phone and then use the copy on your phone to scan the machine ? thx
I only had to scan my passport. They never asked my e-VOA to scan.
No need for printing. Just your passport is needed to scan. All linked
does this work for all country passport holders or only for passports with the E-Chip inside?
They don't work if your a fly in fly out worker like me .. I live in Bali and work in Australia so 1 week at home ( bali ) and 1 week at ( Australia) so if you get a VOA 30 days then leave a week later and then come back with in that 30 days your first VOA is still active. So you will have to go and obviously pay again and see an officer face to face for your stamp.. because the gates will not let you threw.

You don't need to scan your visa it let me through scanning just my passport I bought my voa online your passport is linked I didn't even scan my voa and I received email afterwards
I must have arrived on the first day they opened the auto gates. Easy peasy! But I don’t think I had to pay the new tourist tax?🤔 I have applied for a one month extension. So maybe they will make me pay when I do the biometrics?
I dont think so because the tourist tax is nothing to do with immigration.. 100% bali province.. So I guess they cancel it

by theory all passport holder must do themselves, BUT, ofcourse if not capable you can help them.. anyway there will be officers there too ready to help
14 is the official age. So anyone over 14

@@daniellepaterson3337that’s ok. Yes different in every country. But you can still do the EVOA. Your younger child would need to go through manual processing there is a dedicated line for that. But still quicker if they have the EVOA :)
If you have no phone service you won’t get the email. I normally get a SIM card after I have left the airport.

Make friends with the one who has local sim.. must be some returning.. already active 30 day sim.. ask for hotspot.. offer something if you feel.. they likely say no need 🙏
Hi Ocky! Question for you since I am coming back in a few months. My E Visa worked great, but my problem was with the line declaring what you have with you to enter. A few machines were broken and then people did not know how to use them.. I was through with my E Visa in 5 minutes, but it 45 minutes to do the other.. I have never heard you discuss this. Is there a way to do this before hand? Than you.

Hi ocky...is the Visa on arrival at the counter the same as an evisa on Molina..? Can the visa fro the arrival counter be extended online..?
it should be possible to extend online.. however, most of the cases can not.. so you either go to the immigration office yourself or ask for visa agency to help you
You can extend online yes. If you have the Evisa online. You log back in and select extend visa. For another 30 days it means you don’t need 2/3 trips to immigration office

Thanks for the info mas BUT do you need an E-passport for this? Because as you know, Indonesia is not always supplying E-passports if they are ordered outside of Jakarta. Only if the Indonesian national gets their passport in Jakarta, and pays for an E-passport, will you get an actual Indonesian E-passport (NB: this is for Indonesia nationals only). Or maybe other cities too now? Or do you just scan your passport whether its a ordinary one, or an E-passport?
Also you say it sends you an email? Where is Indonesian immigration automatically getting your email address from? From the Visa-on-Arrival form you've filled out and paid for online prior to landing? And then you won't receive any email unless you have a phone service operating when you land. Many travellers will not. For most travellers, they are not extending and provided they leave in the allowed 30 days then all this is in the airport computers anyway. You don't need this proof.
