Tourists already have to buy a visa on arrival, pay tourist tax, fill in customs online form, queue up ages for immigration then put their luggage through an X-ray. Thailand… wait 3 mins for immigration, get a 60 day free stay visa stamp and go in!! Indonesia what a hassle for tourists. Aduh!

I don’t have Evoa so will get at airport when I arrive still have many questions and this is the first time ever in Indonesia So my question is , I just got off plane so I assume I must go to a counter to buy a visa for 30 days . What do I do at that counter ? Do they take my picture,finger prints do I have to fill out a form with lots of questions and can I pay with a Visa card or does it have to be cash ? If you can only use cash do they have money changers before immigration? Now once I get my visa I assume I go to a immigration officer to show my passport and visa and they ask me questions and then stamp my passport and write in the passport what day I must leave is that correct ? I am not understanding this waiting for a email do I stand at the counter with the officer trying to get free wifi to check my email this part I am not understanding. Once I pass immigration I have been seeing something about going to a computer terminal and filling out a custom declaration and printing it out is that correct ? And finally after I get through all that apparently you need to pay a tourist tax can that be paid with a credit card or does it have to be cash ? I have been also reading that there are long lines is that true how long does it take a tourist to go through all that . Sure seems complicated but I suppose once you do it once it’s not too bad
