Hows the noise with the sunrider? Does it get louder on the highway?

The noise is like running a soft top; it will get louder inside the cab the faster you go.
Mine is annoying above 70mph, you can’t use the hands free due to the noise.
@@rambokd Do you have the black diamond or Twill? They say the Twill is quieter.
what is the difference between black twill and black diamond? i know the price difference but what else
the twill is just made of a little bit better quality material. Hope that helps.

The Twill is a soft vinyl, finished on the inside and out; its the same material used in high end convertible sports cars. Sound wise, its more dense so its notably quieter than the standard black diamond sailcloth. The Twill also doesn't stiffen up in cold weather as the sailcloth will; it retains the soft, malleable feel (please note - the fabric stays soft, but the windows WILL crack and split in freezing temps if you try and fold them). Do you know if you can fully open the Bestop if you have a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform Back Bone System installed? Specifically the 72 x 56 platform version?

You're going to make contact with the Sunrider with that size basket; you'll need to run a smaller one to be able to use this to its full potential.
Hi guys, Looking forward to installing my new top but what needs to be done to remove the back part of the hard top once this has been installed?

The hardtop comes pretty easily. Start with disconnecting the wiring harness from the defroster/rear wiper motor to the body and tuck that in nice and neat. The body bolts that secure the hard top to the body come loose with a torque socket and wrench. Once those are off, I like to put them in a ziplock-style bag and stow them someplace in the Jeep that I won't lose them - look at either the rear storage or the glove compartment. Grab a friend and lift it off the Jeep, careful not to scratch it (do that on a trail) and stow it either on a roll away cart, or where the top isn't going to be disturbed by falling bikes or unruly felines.
Can you removed it and reinstall the factory freedom panels?

I just sold my 2013 JK hard top sports and Purchased 2018 JL hard top Sports S. That said, I my Bestop Sunrider Part# BST52450-17 from JK is compatible with new 2018 JL please?

Do you need to use a strap to make sure it stays down?

The weight of the frame and vinyl will hold the top down once it is in the flipped back position.
Sales Dept at Morris 4x4 Center Bestop includes 2 Velcro straps to install on both sides when open to prevent the top from slamming forward during a sudden stop.
