Asked my wife "what do you think of how this one looks?" She said "looks like a silly toy compared to your vintage ones." 😆 She's talking about a Pioneer Exclusive C3 & Yamaha C-1. That being said, I applaud HiFi Rose for standing out and daring to be different. I'd definitely consider this unit if I were in the market for a new unit.
I really like a lot of what they are doing. I’d love to give their 150b a try, but it’s currently a bit out of my range. I appreciate that they are doing something different with their designs.
I’m in two minds about hifi rose in general . I like the look of the streamers but not the dac / amps they throw in . There seems to be a lot of second hand units available for sale .. wish they just did a streamer minus the dac / amp functionality.
Beautiful Amplifier I've heard this and it's smooth yeah but clear and kicks when it's supposed to. I absolutely love it's sound and agree totally with you
The Rose sounds like it could do well with a tube pre amp, to bring the sweetness and warmth in? To ease out the dryness with a tube pre? I head a pre has more control over tone than any other component? Or could cables bring the sweetness in and ease out the dryness? Cheers for your efforts.
In my opinion it absoletly makes no sense watching amp reviews if the watcher doesnt own the same loudspeakers as you do. Sources are a different story. Speaker/amp match is far superior than anything else. The only review that would make sense, if you point out, which amps are really bad.
I would have loved to hear your review on this Hi-Fi Rose RA180 paired with the Rose streamer and the MoFi Sourcepoint 10. they were featured together at the 2023 Florida Audiophile show and I saw so many positive opinions that that room was one of many people who attended favorites. Of course, no reviews, just that it was one of their favorite rooms. I saw your review of the sourcepoint and now this review, and assuming that you did not have them at the same time. It would be awesome to see if you could pair those and review it as so many expressed that they were blown away. But no explanation. Thanks you for your reviews. I have the Rose streamer and love it.
Because I have so much come through here it changes throughout the year. The mainstays are my Fleetwood Deville SQ's (I paid so much they must stay, but I adore them). Right now I am really enjoying a 300B SET amp from Dennis Had. I also enjoy the Pass Labs amps which have been here for almost two years now. They go in and out. Being a reviewer means I am able to hear a lot of gear, and I keep a lot of it as well. I also still enjoy my Klipsch Heresy IV's which sound really great with the SET amp. The Rose you see here is a fantastic integrated if one needs power.
I would absolutely go for the Naim without any second thought. If I could stretch my budget I would pick a top of the range Luxman though as it's a classic timeless piece of integrated amplification engineering
This is not a Line Magnetic Review. Line Magnetic is all tubes. I used to own two of their amps, the 219ia (a fave of mine that was $8k) and a smaller version, forgot the name. The 219ia was and is fantastic, but it all depends on what you need from your speakers and your tastes. For some, this would beat the LM 219ia, for others the tube sound is more preferable. This can not be compared to a tube amp as it is a totally different thing.
Great review, thanks for telling truth . I switched from ML 5101 to Rose 150 and do not regret.

Someone is channelling Rube Goldberg

True, a streamer only option would be great. I bet they will do one eventually.
I have the Rose 150B -
I will try surpass the DAC with a external Burr Brown 1702 based DAC and a Chord Hugo as well
it looks like a mix of a vintage sansui, pioneer receiver, old medical gear and modern nagra.
Thanks for the review. I enjoy my HiFi Streamer. I agree it would be nice to hear your thought on the Rotel Mishi X3 and the Luxman L507Z.
Thank you and I will try to get a hold of the Mishi!
Great review and beautiful looking amp.
Beautiful Amplifier
I've heard this and it's smooth yeah but clear and kicks when it's supposed to.
I absolutely love it's sound and agree totally with you
Which speakers did you try listening to? Which do you suggest?
Terrible sound stage is what I hear. When voice was front and center everything else vanished.
I love it. Thankful for the superb spot on review
And to say you are about the only one I will listen to on stereo

Great review! Thank you.
THANK YOU!
I was able to get a Michi X3 for review. Will be here soon ; )

Very seductive visual candy and highly tactile interface. Love the look and feel.
Great review 👍👏
what a unique design 👍🏻

What would be your set up you listen to and what equipment you use daily

"Let's make it look like a Nagra."
The streamer looks amazing
Should be all in steampunk
Are there pre outs? I didn’t see you mention that.
Would it be able to power a pair of Kappa 9 ? ( being dragged down to 1 Ohm )
Any chance of reviewing a Michi product against some of your higher end gear? The X3 beat out my Luxman L-550AXii in more ways than one.
If I can I will! Thank you!
Thanks for a great review. I’d be getting this if it only also included a powerful headphone out.
I wonder would this Int amp match well with Maggie’s 1.7 or 3.7’s
Does anyone have this system?
WoW!!
hmmm... i think i want to buy one i wish i could give it a listen

You are right. I switched from ML 585 to Luxman 590. The difference of sound is like between day and night in favor to Luxman.
Agreed - Naim all day, every day - hard to beat that PRAT. I haven't heard anything that rivals it.
Can't decide whether I like the look of it or not.
any idea if this would be a decent match for a set of Maggie 3.7i's
I have the same question
I’m also considering the Hegel H590
The Alien Species Monster from another dimension. 👽😎
Compliment from Italy
I see the NAIM still there 😆
It is going to stay? 😁
The Fiat Multipla of HIFI ☺
It's a little busy for my taste. I'd rather own that Dennis Had amp next to it.
That review is next :)
Is it class A/A-B/D? Ah class D… mmm I don’t like linear amps…
😱👍🏻😁
You’re so cute Huffy
what are you talking about!? 7.000usd :) hi-fi world has gone nuts
Quality has a price
Simplicity is key ... So no, this is not it.
Cardas cable has always sounded too smooth and bland. You’re listening more of your cable than HiFi Rose.
Lmfao
Line Magnetic couldn't beat anyone, for the price what they are providing, fancy brands are 5 times more expensive and sound isn't better.

Speaker cables don't matter
Are you saying he didn't experience a SQ difference by swapping in a different pair?
They matter
That is the ugliest piece of audio gear I have ever seen. Just sayin'.
That’s what I was thinkin about your mother. Just sayin.
I totaly agree
Horrid. Also, it is not ‘very unique.’ It is either unique or not unique, it can’t be qualified. Grammar Police, to Serve and Correct.
Exactly - my old English master would be turning in his grave. The world has gone to pot.
It's an abomination
All that for an analog amp basically for a phonograph
