I'm extremely intrigued by this product but I have a technical question: During your tour of the rear apron, you said, "It has an XLR input," and what I notice about that choice of language is that you didn't say "it has a fully balanced input," and that difference is something many people don't appreciate. Is this amp's XLR input fully balanced, or is it merely XLR-for-convenience? Thank you.
Finish assembling your lamp, but other than that great video review, and I'm sure it compliments the more detailed written review really well which is still important to have as format. I feel like HiFi Rose have a bit of identity crisis between their amplifiers and streamers. Personally I think the RA280 actually looks really good especially compared to mayhem of switches, dials and sliders of the 180.
I want the Copper................. Outside of the aluminum case, nothing inside has any value at all EXCEPT if one chooses a copper toroid power supply. If the amp goes dead, at least with the copper toroid there's a good market for both the transformer or the copper itself. I know what it's like to be broke & have nothing of value.
