Later on I listened to more of their material and they are absolutely impressive, especially Dan Lacksman's earlier work "Disco Machine" under the name Electronic System recorded 1977, it sounded light years ahead of its time and equally as futuristic sounding as Giorgio Moroder's "From Here To Eternity" album. Speaking of Disco Machine, this song is based off the track "Rock Machine" on the Disco Machine album ruclips.net/video/lBgmVkriZx0/видео.html . Anyhow I recorded that Countdown show and have this "Twist A St Tropez" video in much higher quality.

Not on this one, since the '808 didn't hit the market until late 1980. Might have been the '808's "grandpa" the Roland CR78. The first studio album with an '808 on it may have been Yellow Magic Orchestra's BGM, released in March of 1981.

NewWAVE moest nog beginnen NA disco, NewWAVE noemde van laat 78 tot 80 post-punk , allemaal meegemaakt trouwens ..
