- Check-in at the Airport in Japanese | Nagoya to Okinawa ✈️
Watch this video to learn how to check in at the airport in Japan and useful Japanese vocabulary at the airport. You can see how to check in your luggage, answer the questions asked at the airport, and learn new vocabulary. I took a trip to Okinawa from Nagoya and filmed the check-in process at the Chubu Centrair International Airport. I'm sorry the audio wasn't clear enough. But I hope my explanation helped!
This video will focus on...

I work at an airport in my country and everytime I see the JAL workers waving and bowing to the airplane I gush at how wholesome it is!!
I really liked this video. The full breakdown of your conversation is a weeks worth of study material 😂. I noticed the waving thing in Japan and wish I appreciated it more. Super kind people all around.
Thank you so much! I live in Japan for military reasons and you have improved my Japanese so much! Greetings from Okinawa!

新しい言葉を勉強しました!ありがとうさやか先生!
Huge amount of "YES"
It also means I'm listening
@@thecamillarose9806 thanks for the info
理解やすい動画で、英語と日本語を一緒に勉強します。
先生、最近すごく綺麗になりましたね。
how I discovered your RUclips channel is by looking up how to say the word hi in Japanese no joke really I love the Japanese cultures so amazing and very interesting. Girl your RUclips channel is so phenomenal you totally Rock/Reek of beautiful awesomeness.
So "hai" means both yes and no, understood.
NO! It only means yes.
Hai is yes , ie is No
@@CrappyCartoonsShe said twice "hai daijobu" and meant no.
@@Fafner888 sigh.... Even in English you can say "Yes, I am okay" when you mean "No, I don't want a second helping of mashed potatoes." However, that does no mean that "Yes" can also mean "NO" in English...
@@CrappyCartoonsI don't think any English speaker would answer to "do you want a second helping?" by "yes, I'm okay" to mean that he doesn't.
I learned how to formally say boarding pass. It was hard to hear some of the audio as a non-native, but the Japanese subtitles were great and really helpful to track the conversation.
I have noticed that as a non-native, the less clear the audio is, the bigger of an issue it becomes. In Spanish, my native language, it doesn't matter, singing, low audio, bad audio, background noise, I can understand it perfectly in any situation for the most part. But even in English, and I live and work in an English speaking country now, I still sometimes struggle if the audio is not "perfect". The same with Japanese, I was able to understand fully what was said if I read the Japanese subtitles, but without them, I was at lost at some parts.
I was in Japan last year and had this problem too. In cafes, I was asked simple things while people were talking and music was playing in the background. The staff wore masks too. I could reconstruct such speech in my native language, but I had no chance in Japanese.
When japanese people speak it sounds like gibberish they speak so fast
こんにちは,
このビデオをありがとうございました。
先生、どうもありがとうごさいました。しごいですね。とてもすごいです。
I'm glad I watched this video as I'll be studying in Nagoya for six months starting in April. It has really helped me prepare for potential conversations at the airport.
さやかさん、このビデオ載せてくれてありがとうございます!実は、7月7日オランダでJLPTのN2レベル試験を受ける予定があって、このビデオ本当に便利だと思います!他のビデオも見てみます!
I often fly to Japan and worry me for the first time. This video is useful for everyone coming to Japan for the first time. :)
Do you live in Nagoya?? That’s where I live, what a small world! If you were just visiting, I hope you had a chance to go to Osu shopping street, it’s my favorite place in Nagoya 😊 this is a really helpful video, thank you for making practical things for us ❤
I will be going to Japan very soon, so thank you so much for uploading this!
You speaks English as if its your mother language so thats why you could teach and relay Japanese into English so well, 😊
Brilliant lesson. Thanks
Arigatou,Sayaka.
Thank you for this Video.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊 Matane
I mean, as I was commenting under another video, that is my job right now, this video is so useful and informative! I'm also amazed at how the general questioning regarding the contents of your luggage remains the same in other countries as well. Thank you so much, Sayaka-sensei!
A strange Question for Sayaka,l am studying Japanese for a year now and am avidly watching all your videos as l come to Tokyo to see the legendary YUSHUKAN Museum,my dream is to touch a HA-GO Type 95 tank and see an actual Mitsubishi A6M Zero then visit the famous TAMIYA Showrooms. So.....my question was in one of your videos you casually mentioned the Imperial Japanese Army had a special type of Japanese they used when speaking to each other, very formal l believe? Would you ever do a video on the IJA and how an Officer might address a Private and how a corporal might address a General in 1942? As a TAMIYA and Japanese army nut l would be so grateful! Aragato.😊
I will have over a year of Japanese studying before I go visit, I hope they will speak slower when asked! lol
This kind of content is really useful! -
I’ve been learning little phrases and then in Japan I get a full prose explanation dumped on me and I’m like Uhhhhhhh…. hai! 😅 -
She's a Japanese legend
空港に行ったことがないけど、とても勉強になりました!ありがとうございます!
Sayaka chan, you are so lucky to be born in that amazing country.
And this was the best lesson I've ever listened to.
Do more of it, if you can, sensei.
I mean these "real-life situations/explanations" type of lessons.
Im so excited to travel with many people in future ❤❤❤
Thank you very much arigatou gozaimasu sensei 🇯🇵❤😘😊
I'll be doing this same flight in 2 months. Very helpful thanks!
Really good videos, a lot of work goes into them and that can be easily appreciated Sayaka san. Thank you for these lessons.
I miss Okinawa so much! I really need to go back there!
One of the best teaching videos I have ever watched! Thank you so much!!!
I like this scenario and super practical video you made. It’s like we are learning on the ground with you. Thanks for this video it’s very informative! 😊
Really like your post because that makes me can practice both my English and Japanese! Thanks for sharing❤
Miss that's an interesting one 😉
thank you for the video ! i will go to okinawa during my travel in japan in August and this video help me a lot !
Merci Sayaka pour ta belle illustration de langage, bon voyage à Okinawa, gros bisous❤🫠👍🙏
Thank you so much Sayaka sensei, waiting for next video. 😊
Thank you for a real life example. I've been learning for a few years, but the speed at which a native person speaks would have me scrambling to understand the meaning. Although I haven't learned some of the words in the subtitle, I was able to make some guesses about what is happening. My understanding is that Japanese people speak the most syllables per time of almost any language. I hope to practice my listening skills more.
This video came in just in time for me. I am planning to take a trip to Kumamoto Prefecture, but I am very scared of taking domestic flights in a country unknown to me! I sort of feel relieved after watching this video.
自分で熊本県に飛行機で行けるように、もっと日本語を勉強します!!!少し難しそうですが、やずれできるようになると思います!!
動画をアップしてくれてありがとうございました!!
Thank you for this video.. soon I will migrate to Japan and I will need to move from Tokyo to Nagoya...your video was very helpful to me.. I want to take a bus though
Thank you so much for this in-depth breakdown!
I really like how you explain the honorific/business polite phrases by matching up with more common versions! It really helps me remember both forms! どもありがとございます!
And so many new words that are so useful and necessary but not commonly found in a textbook 😑 ❤
That's SO weird! I fly from Tokyo to Naha at least once every year and i have never been asked to show any form of ID. For that matter, in thirty years I've never had to show ID for any domestic flight in Japan. This is a great time of year to be in Okinawa, I just got back from spending a week there.
Your hair looks awesome🤩
全部がわかったら、嬉しかったです。いつも手伝いしてくれてありがとうございます。
Thanks a lot. Breaking apart these realistic conversations bit by bit is super helpful. Surely a lot of work though 🤩
got about half of what she said, she was speacking abit fast for me. but i understood enough of what she was saying to be able to follow her instructions
I like Peach air and their self check in kiosk
Wonderful video!
Thank you for showing us the tour and process. It is not easy for us but you made it simple for us to have a safe journey especially travelling around Japan, Nagoya to Okinawa. Arigato Gozaimasu
I think she's already back
Explanation of 선생님 is~ ❤more than helped.
Like every time revealed nuiance
If brain(: mine) starts depth studying, I'm sure I can check in this much. This type of manual(not in life situation informal dialogue)
is really good material when using for total basic structure.
Right now I can draw(copy-writing contained every katakana & kanji at least in this video! can pouse and write although no comprehention) and can acquisite vocabulary right now. If finished maybe I can expect getting presented from 선생님.
In the video \a sa go hang\was not enough quantity is too small. I'm so starving in this morning 6:44am.
This drawing has failed!
Instead~• I have just started once hand writing youtubeshorts. I finished 20 of more than 150 youtubeshort videos.(contained writing katakana & kanji)

I like you use Indonesia league in your thumbnail❤. Btw konichiwa im from Indonesia🇮🇩
素晴らしい
Wow, still just a N5 level but this kind of videos are so greatly helpful, even if native speakers speak way too fast for me but that’s so cool to practice and your explanations are super useful so once again, thanks! I subscribed
Hello Sayaka hope everything it’s well with you, was looking around and found your charger 🙏☺️ it’s a nice video and just start my journey to learning 🇯🇵

数年前、KIX関西国際空港からAMSオランダに帰国しました. ボードパスをなくしまったので日本語で受け付けにボードパス再印刷してお願いしました。
Hi im a huge fan of your bc you are helping me understanding how to learn Japanese more easier now. Actually I'm learning Japanese my own I'm wondering how to say stationary in Japanese bc I'm planning to study in Japan. TQ!!!!!
I wish my nation had the same level of politeness.
I was confused with the word chicket at 7:10 but realized what you meant as we make mistakes. I learned at another meaning of gozaimasu (gozaimasu ne?). Good gesture of waving to departing plane
Great !
❤❤❤ Sayaka!
Hi thank you for teaching me Japanese no i can communicate it!
I like japan japan is beautiful country japanese people are very friendly
great❤
❤ love your vidios learning lot can you please make vidios on hiragana katagana and kanji .
Love from Bangladesh ❤😊
Okinawa is still on my list to visit, will be my 4th japan trip this year and will focus mostly on Osaka, Horishima and all the way down to Kumamoto. Quick trip to Tokyo as well for a 3 day music festival. 2025 I can hopefully make it to Naha and surrounding area! What is the best time to visit for the LEAST amount of tourists? I honestly don't like crowds very much and try to avoid them. I love taking the path least travelled. When 90% go down a certain street I take the one parallel to it. It's quite fun that way.
What will I do without you, probably be lost in a Japanese airport 😂
Saved! I feel like this video will come in handy soon 👏
So much difference between the Airport Checking process in her video and in Real Time....😂😢😅😊
So beautiful
I would definitely need to ask them to slow down their speech and speak more casually.
Excellent video ❤❤❤
