This video is depressing because it has made me realise that I'll never be any good at this. I just could not see the indicators that triggered all those micro thrust changes.
The indicators are not easy to pick up on, and I can only call them out because I've spent the past 1000 hours of gameplay enjoying AX. Nobody has the feel for the fight at the beginning. Take the fight interceptor class by interceptor class. Each one will help you hone a different skill. Orbiting like in this video is really hammered home when you are practicing for a hydra fight.

Coming back from 2020, back then we heard they couldn’t target cold. But we just ran shotguns on Corvettes and blasted down, i came back to game, said i was a alien hunter on new discord, and was completely dismissed, heard so and so killed 6 hydras with 0 dmg, i watched it it took 2 hours and he almost died allot. They dismissed all those considerations. Alien hunting used to be elite of the elite. Even pvp guys tipped there hat. For me, coming back in 2022, it doesn’t command same respect it used to. Sucks. I guess i should have tried the stay cold method years ago.
