So, the main issue here was wasn't left to right, it was up and down. The loaf was very shallow if you will. The burger patty would have hung off wayy too much.

I've made patty melts and it's always nice to see another way of doing them. Those look great but I wouldn't put bacon on mine. I stopped eating pork some years ago because of health reasons. I'm always trying to duplicate your recipes because they are always good. Look forward to your next episode.

Hey man, if I had a nickle for every time I had to go back to the store for an ingredient, I could about buy a new blackstone! 🤣 When I toast my bread for a patty melt, I like to put a little grated parmesean right on the griddle with the butter and then set my bread on top of it. I'm all about toasted sourdough bread instead of buns. You'd have to find a bakery that made some one of a kind buns to be better than sour dough bread.
I have to eat gluten free bread and store bought hamburger buns suck. However a good gluten free sandwich bread on the blackstone does crisp up nice. I'll be trying this dude.
@@thehungryhussey A traditional patty melt is comprised of grilled onion, burger patty, Swiss cheese, on rye bread. No sauce or peppers or sauce. If you check most menu's you will find that is so.
