Put in a search for "restore factory settings on Vista pc" and none of the vids helped. Once I put in "Acer laptop factory restore" your vid popped up, and it was right on point. Thanks!

I have a E3 -1 11 - C5NY laptop and I have tried to reset it several times with your information you put online I have tried F 10 F toF9 is a whole range of different numbers without success comes up power on but I have no arrow to navigate onto the screen to reset it can anyone help

I've been trying many methods from youtube for over 2 hours. The problem is when i get the the "please wait a moment" screen it stays there. I gave it 35 minutes but it never moved on. This has happened to me everytime i try. Please help
Sorry never worked. But it did turn my screen into a humbug. It was fine before but after trying the alt+f10 the screen has stopped working. I'm a bit pissed off too be fair. I wish I'd never bothered
I finally find the way! My was upgrade on windows 10 originally windows 7. I fix my simple Turn your laptop on then Start, All programs, Acer Recovery Management, Yes, Restore, Than Restore Operating System to Factory Defaults. That was my simple way. After that my laptop was totally wiped with originally windows 7 on it. I had a lot of trouble trying to do this looking all videos but on the end I got it on this way. I hope this will help somebody :-)

Did you already hold down ALT and f10 before pressing the power button? I followed along and it did do the beep but the bar showed up.

I held the alt and f10 same time and then power on. I just get a f2 to enter set up. Does that mean my hard drive is bad? Thanks

It just the keys. You may need to get Windows 7 or whatever OS you have on disc and install it with a DVD OS.

If Computer keeps going to sign in screen when holding the Alt key and F10, try using the Alt Gr key on the right of the space bar and the F10 key.
