Remove or RESET Acer Laptop BIOS Password for free!
forgotten the BIOS password for your Acer Laptop? Or maybe bought one with a BIOS password and the seller didn't tell you?
This is an easy and FREE way to reset the BIOS or UEFI password and gain access to your device.
For the password to be reset or decrypted you can go to biosbug.com and select the Acer section on the right side and enter the password key shown on your laptop and the site will decrypt it and give you a new key to type in and this will remove the lock and also remove the password from the BIOS for good!

For me it shows a totally different menu, and doesn't give me the option to see my number, are there any alternatives compared to opening the entire thing up and doing the thing with the wires and battery?

I've fixed my touchpad problem in Acer laptop with your vid (to bad I first bought another touchpad, but it wasn't his fault).
i had to change setting from advanced to basic, cause touchpad won't work in OS and bam - password! there's where your vid comes super handy! 😁

Absolutely perfect. Thank you for showing the process of generating the code. I was not familiar with that website and was a bit worried it'd make me jump through hoops and put in contact information. Not the case, a few seconds of waiting and an unlocked laptop. Wonderful.
(unplugging the main and the BIOS batteries did nothing for me)

I just want to comment on this (I initially watched it in incognito mode) to say that your clear understanding of the tutorial is well spot-on!! I have a TravelMate P which got into a repair phase cuz of the dead SATA connector (luckily we have an NVMe slot), and somehow the repairman added a UEFI password!! I was also initially considering BIOSBug, but I didn't have quite the skill to do that.. until now
the main reason I had to get this going is that I recently installed a Kubuntu on my flash drive, and it just defaulted to GRUB.. the only way to put this back to Windows Boot Manager is to manage it through UEFI settings, so I had to research on ways to reset the passowrd without opening the device
