This video is part of a series that focuses on generative modular ambient. In these videos I'll be using my Eurorack modular system to create meditative patches that breathe and float. I am especially interested in generative processes, allowing the modular system to "play itself" and create slowly evolving textures that have no beginning and no end.

Been away from the modular system for a while because I've been busy building DIY electronic instruments and objects. (Feel free to check things out on Instagram, as various projects emerge.) But I messed around a bit this week and recorded something that I thought was dreamy and minimal: my favorite things.
Marbles is generating the melody, triggering Rings which is flowing into Arbhar for granular looping and playback. Those sounds are working their way through some delay (Nautilus) and reverb via Starlab. Some field recordings and vocal samples are being looped via the Bitbox Micro and sent through the FX Aid.
The full recording was slowed a bit in post, just because I thought it sounded neat.
