My favourite Beatle. Honest, down to earth, humorous and spiritual. Also, a complex man full of contradiction. Human, in other words.
Saw him twice. Once face to face in 1971 and once in concert in the early 90s. Hare Krishna, George....Hare Hare Krishna.

Mine three. People like George Harrison don't come around very often. Which is why all these years later we are still listening to interview fragments. Remembering what we had and mourning what we lost. My son has gotten into George's career lately. So that gives me an excuse. As Tom Petty said at George's HOF induction, "George was a truly great man."

Just watched a clip from a concert for George
      ( my sweet Lord )
and I understood why that concert was so wonderful and still is years later.
George in the later years talked about and praised the Lord.
      and God reciprocated..
So God praises those who praise the Lord.
Looking at the people playing and in the audience.
They got high listening to that song.

He was referred to as the "Quiet Beatle" and that just wasn't accurate! Harrison didn't like to waste words.

When John Lennon imposed Yoko Ono on Paul, George and Ringo, he not only brought her to the sessions, he differed to Yoko to speak for him at Beatles meetings!
George Harrison actually quit temporarily because of this on January 10,1969.
Quote by DOUG SULPY {From GET BACK ~ THE UNAUTHORIZED CHRONICLE OF THE BEATLES LET IT BE DISASTER} ~ "The years of playing second class Beatle had created a very deep, bitter resentment in George Harrison. The respect he received from fellow musicians such as Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton could not be found within his own band. His new compositions were routinely derogated and rejected by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, even though some were far better than their own. In addition, by January, 1969, George found yet another person ahead of him in the Beatle pecking order, as Yoko Ono involved herself {with John's blessing} in the group's affairs. This would contribute to George's abrupt departure midway through the sessions."
Can you believe, at some point in their relationship, John gave Yoko Ono "Power Of Attorney" to handle his affairs!
Yoko Ono really did a job on Lennon!

Only good personality is enough to gain love and respect but when it comes with an extremely beautiful face, huge talent and great sense of humor, the world is yours...and George Harrison had all those qualities, that's why he is my favorite Beatle ❤️

Very intelligent and wise. Having had the explosive career success all the Beatles had individually, he matured well as time went by.

That was a great interview, thanks for sharing! George felt respected you could tell and he was comfortable because you weren't asking him stupid fucking questions like some interviewers did!! :)

George once said if you're going to be a pop star what's better than being a Beatle ?

I love what George said about the drunken screaming fans at concerts....so very true, one reason I don't go to them anymore. If only he had stopped smoking sooner he might be still here today. I always loved hearing George speak about any subject...so down to earth, and I loved his sense of humor....miss him and his wisdom so much : (

Unfortunately he smoked too long time and too much. That was the reason he got cancer and died young. My favourite Beatle, handsome and nice.

He did quit smoking but it was too late. The seeds of cancer were already planted although it was years after before it appeared.

George responded well to decent interviews. You give him no BS questions, he'll give you good answers. Kinda like Bill Belichik. Be intelligent and ask questions other than Beatle questions you'll get a relaxed and appreciative George.

Diane Veilleux yeah, sorry. Paul is all about Paul. Don’t forget, this was filmed back in 92 before Paul found humility.
