Great idea for the vertical blinds. I'll be renting a house and had planned to put them in the garage or basement when I put up patio door curtains. However, I can probably save myself some time and labor by using your idea and just installing them above the blinds.

You did a beyond great job. I wish I had half of your skill and a place I could make over. I’m to scared to try. I don’t have a lot of money so putting peel and stick wallpaper up scares me because I have hard plaster spikes on my walls. Why they chosen that is beyond me.

Just an FYI that carpet smell has a lot of chemicals that cause that smell and you shouldn't sniff it like that you should actually ventilate
