Thanks for watching! Appreciate you x
Good hack is read the full description. The blueberry ones said "for cake decoration" and "fondant" so that's probably why it's so soft. It's just not for clay
I've learned with dodgy molds that if you push and spread the clay with your finger instead of just pushing it down then it works really well!
Ohhh I’ll try that! Thanks 😊
With the round, 2 part pink embosser, you need to use a cutter first. Then you have a 4 or 5 petal “blank”, then put that into the embosser, press down medium lightly, and voila, you have a beautiful flower.
Oooo amazing thanks for the advice! I'll try this next time :)
I feel like some of these aren't meant for clay. Just because it's a mold doesn't mean it's for everything. The rose one to me would probably be better for resin or liquid type substance vs. clay. I dont work with clay, so I could be wrong, but the fact that it's so squishy, I dont feel like it's meant for clay. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. ❤
They are moulds and cutters for sugarcraft
I realise that now, makes sense! Good to know now though😊 thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed this one! Shopping and trying it with you was fun 🤣 tools next!
Thanks 😊 I’ll get some tools too 🎉
I do have a slightly more expensive flower press from Amazon- it came with some cutouts that help guide the clay into a more floral shape when pressed. It definitely fixes the edges issue, I’ve made some really cute ones with it! 12:17
I love using these types of silicone molds with hot glue or other liquid bases. Good to know they are decent from temu.
Love the video but the pink flower mould your using you need to use a flower cutter first before puting in the mould. Its more of a vainer then a cutter. Hope this helps. X
@@MeganHutchinson-Heap ohhh thanks for letting me know!! I’ll have to give it another go!
Oh & when my clay pulls out of the mold with my finger, I just dab cornstarch on my fingertip
Oh that’s a good tip!! Thank you, I’ll try that next time!❤
@@charrings no problem, I hope it helps!😊
This was such an interesting video to watch as I make cutters myself and always wondered about the quality of temu/Shein/Ali etc. The only issue I have with them is a lot of the designs are plagiarised from small businesses 😢 (not the ones you got as far as I can see).
With regards to silicone molds the cheap ones almost always never work as there is a massive difference between different types of silicone. These ones look way too floppy whereas handmade ones use a stiffer silicone. These molds are usually advertised for icing and cake making so they are probably made with that in mind instead of clay.
Looking forward to you doing a tool review video ❤
Ohhhh that’s so helpful, thank you for letting me know! Do you have a shop on Etsy or website?? I’ll need to check your cutters out! ❤
With a soft flexy silicone mold, once you put your clay in the mold cavities, pop it into the freezer for about 20 or so minutes, and your clay pieces will come out easier without distorting them.
The candy can is neat with the little pieces
I do think you should try the tools next, I was defiantly
Surprised with these, I can’t believe your peppermint earrings was done with this cutter!❤
Yesss I know isn’t that crazy! I’ve got some on the way 😊 thanks for watching as always ❤❤
I've brought a good few moulds and haven't tried using them as yet 😂
@@lumia57 really! You’ll have to let me know how you get on!
Great video, It would be interesting to see temu tools like you mentioned xx
Yesss I might do that one next! Thanks for watching ❤❤
I would use resin or chocolate in the blueberry one. The bendyness of it would help it demold without tearing
@@Tastykake83 yes good idea!!
Love the molds. Keep testing them. please.
On the leaf mold and some of the flower molds if you use something flat (like a acrylic block) and press straight down you can get better results. I've used the same leaf and one of the flower molds with silver clay and they work great. I got mine from Temu also.
FYI, with polymer clay you don't need baking powder, you just need to spritz your cutters and molds with water.
@@amandacostandine6026 fimo Clay actually doesn’t work well with water which is why I use baking powder
Corn starch works well, baking soda even better(it cleans off your clay easier.)
Good morning, I commented on your live a few weeks ago. I have all my clay now, a few cutters. I still can’t find a hand drill tool or earring findings that are hypoallergenic for sensitive ears. Also would you recommend making clip on as well as for pierced ears? Thank you, such a helpful video from a fellow West Country girl xx
The molds are user errors I use them they work very well
@@mrs.imranq7778 the video was testing them for clay and they don’t work for clay, I did say they’d be good for resin etc
I work with clay for your information
@ oh interesting. what did you do differently?
For blue berries I didn't fill it so much just make a ball in your hand and put it in press it to get that crown indent, then press from sides to make it round but try not to mess the crown part, a little practice will make it perfect, the molds are soft that's why they expand when you push too much clay, and the leaf mold you should press it with your fingers it will not stick but if it still sticks to your hand use a baby powder on your fingers. Take off the excess clay with your tissue blade but be careful don't slice the mold off. For these molds I use baby powder
I have the swirly mirrored tree one that was 6$ and one of them was broken!😢
Oh really!! I was surprised none of mine were damaged!
Temu has a great return policy. Easy to get refund on broken items. You have to take a photo of it though.
Why not try using a roller over the molds?
The green rose looks abit like a cabbage 😂
It does 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie, I'm very new so I've bought a lot of my cutters & molds cheaply online so I deal with irritating fiddly things like that
I thinks it’s great for beginners, you get something very affordable with a similar quality to ones from Etsy!
Temu is VERY like Wish, aliexpress and amazon, in the sense that there is various venders on the platform. So I can def see some random ones being higher (someone who didn't catch up with others price changes maybe). I always see the same dang product (usually stolen pic OFC) several times on the website 😅😭
That said, when I started playing with resin and mini kits, I got a LOT of good stuff from Temu SO CHEAP
Yeah I feel like it’s definitely good for beginners if you’re just testing out to see if you like it before investing!
Try using a rolling pin
I can tell you are not very experienced using silicone molds, also you can not properly work with those long nails and make it look much more difficult . I've got all of those molds myself and they all work great.
@@monicaaballay8484 I can work perfectly fine with my nails and have done for over 4 years. Instead of commenting negatively, why don’t you comment something useful and explain how you make yours work?
