I can't get over how incredible it is that these guys still crush these songs. They're not easy to perform and extremely physically demanding at 20, let alone at 60+ Seeing them live is the closest I've had to a spiritual experience in my life

Lars is the man! Only ignorant people do it! So many drummers were influenced by what Lars has done! What60 year old guys do what our guy does out there?!?
I think a lot of it is just meant as a bit of harmless fun and taking the piss. He's one of the most accomplished drummers of all time. His flubs and silly mistakes just make for a more endearing quality. At this point, it's just an obligatory meme.
