Ok funny story, I was parked at a Walmart near where I live and I was listening to this in the car, windows rolled down, waiting for my older brother, and this middle aged woman comes up and goes, " this is satanic music, why are u listening to this in public knowing there's children?" I just turned the music up louder and rolled up my windows 😂😂😂 🤟🤟🤟
Fucking epic man
as a christian, metallica or all heavy metal songs in general are not satanic 😂
Poor old woman, let's pray for her!!
Nice, that was a great story man🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Amazing how metallica gives us high quality videos for FREE!!
FR
They learned after the Napster debacle!
And still so many people putting up their own crapvideos..
Yeah just the phones down and be preset
Where can I get the rest of the videos? They only upload a few
One of my favorite Metallica songs, one of the best tracks on black album
WHEREVER I MAY ROAM + FADE TO BLACK = tattoo a BIG M in my wrist
Too is one of my favorite songs of Black Album
Actually the 3rd song favorite
It's my favorite song too ❤❤❤
Can't argue with that.
my favourite Metallica song.... still roaming baby since it was released 32 years ago
James is a beast of a frontman
Kirk's final solo was so good. 🔥
He's been sounding better on this tour than he's sounded in years. Something seems to have lit a fire under his butt.
the solos in this song are copped from Hendrix almost note for note
Metallica is sounding so good since the Worldwired tour they are in their 2nd prime
Agreed
Worldwired was goated.
🤟💯🎸
you mean after jason newsted left? For sure best playing Ulrich since them.
World Magnetic*
I think the hidden factor behind Metallica reaching this level of success: it's not the fast riffs, the original, go against the grain attitude and song writing... but their ability to be their true authentic genuine selves! That is what's so appealing to fans... there's a comfort and relatability in seeing fellow humans being their true selves. A level we all strive to reach. Watch other live bands. There's something missing, something off about their performance. You can feel it in the air - you're feeling them searching to find themselves, trying to be something they're not - Lars on the other hand is 100% true to himself and that comes across as real. And I think that's why this band was able to break through the mainstream and smash through the boundaries and carry the torch for heavy metal and hard rock music for other bands to follow. So many life lessons to be learned from following this iconic band. Here's to hopefully 20 more solid years! Long live Metallica
True.
But let's also face it: they are the best metal band that ever was and ever will be.
When Bon Scott, James Bonham, Randy Rhoads, Phil Lynott, Curt Cobain, Layne Stayley, Ronnie James Dio or Lemmy Kilmister (and all the others I can't think of right now) passed away it was a huge loss for the movement.
When the guys from Sabbath, Maiden, Slayer, Judas Priest, Guns n' Roses, AC/DC are going to leave us, it will be an insane loss.
But when Metallica leaves this world?
The entire metalheads and metal band members are going to be in grief and mourning for at least a year.
They are the pumping heartbeat of Metal from the depth of the 70's where they took all their inspiration, the 80's when they wrote the legend of metal music, the 90's where they transcended metal music, and the XXIrst century where they revived it when everything was changing so fast.
They are a monument to music, and people will listen to them in the XXIVth century just like people still listen today to Bethoven's or Bach's music...
Also one factor as they say themselves is that they do only what they love to do. They do this not only for the fans, but very very much for themselves. They go up on stage and having a really great time and having fun. And it shows. I remember Lars saying in Some kind of monster that he refuse to go up on stage like a f*cking joke. Meaning he will not go on stage only playing because the record-companies want him to, or just to be a band living on past successes. He wants to be right here and now in step with time and look forward. In other words be authentic.🙂
They definitely feel very genuine, but it would be nothing without the music imo. They wrote some of the best if not the best metal music ever.
They transcended thrash, and came up with their own personal and ambitious sound. Master Of Puppets album is a high that has not been surpassed, by any band.
@@laporte1625 I think they consider they have surpassed the MOP album with the Black Album, but most of the metalheads would disagree (including myself!)
Lars sounds amazing, so does the rest of the band, but this tour Lars hasn’t disappointed and went the extra miles. Gotta love the guy👑
He's definitely trying his best. Far better than he was in the mid-2000's. Not as authoritive as he was in 1988-1993, but he's also 60 now so... can't complain at all.
Damn straight
My jaw hit the ground when he actually went for the double bass in One that night. I'd heard he hadn't been able to for years
He started a bit weak but he kept improving as the song went on🤘🏼
Kirk was mighty impressive in this one!
Dude, he may be sound good but every time I try to play along live versions I realize how bad his timing is, damn I wonder how James Kirk and Rob get through this every night.
These guys are in their late 50s and they sound better than bands in their 20s. Metallica is one of the best bands ever.
60’s now. All of them.
I think in part it's the way they tour now, with a few weeks on and a few off. That lets them stay fresh physically. Also playing the no repeat sets seems to have lifted both them and the fans, so many bands will just grind out the same set for a whole tour yet Metallica are playing 40 or so different songs over 2 nights.
@@vananon51 Not Trujillo who celebrated it's 59th anniversary in October this year.
And Ulrich is still 59 until Christmas is passed this year!
Half the band is eligible to eat at any NYC senior center for a suggested $1.50 - and they can each bring one younger guest along. It would be epic if Metallica showed up to one for a pop-up set at a senior lunch program. My mom was the director of a senior lunch program for many years, and was an art consultant prior to that. She would have totally invited the band, but she became ill and passed about 5 years ago. She always loved when her 90 years olds did more than most 20 year olds, but there were 60-70 year olds who were fresh out of retirement age and really feeling like they were suddenly old. She would have loved the idea of an epic band (or several) surprising seniors to show them that you’re only as old as you feel in your mind, even if your body isn’t what it once was - and these guys are NOT old. I mean, look at Rob’s crab walk while effortlessly playing a bass on point. Kirk’s nimble guitar fingers. Lars’ timing and physicality seems better than ever. Het is just pure riff monster with his speed.
I know James has expressed feeling old sometimes, and maybe doing an event like I suggested would also show him that he’s anything but old for all he’s still actively doing - not just with the band, but his classic car hobbies, charity events, book events, enjoying his home, beautiful family, etc. He’s kinda doing the same stuff that he’s done for many years. He should not feel old. He should feel incredible - if he ever wants to date this 42 year old (hi James!), it would be my honor to do so. I never wanted to date anyone more than ten years older, yet I don’t see him as being old at all. Would love to have the chance to change his mind, lol.
Dreams are free, folks! 😂😂😂
Real talk!
Really hope Metallica come back to the UK soon
One of my favorite Metallica tracks from the Black Album ❤️
I love it too so fuckin heavy🔥
Cool song🤟
4:26 the best performance gitar solo ❤
That intro absolutely incredible
7:25😂
Never failed. 💯
Damn that crowd shouting "I ask no one" is so sick sounding
My mother wanted to have a mother and son day. She wanted to do something I enjoyed. I was 39 at the time and took her to a MetallicA concert. She completely loved it. Love these guys since I was 15. 🤘🤘🤘
can the mixers NOT drown out the damn crowd so much? Christ it really kills the performance.
The guys smile to the right in the crowd at 4:16 when he was close to Robert did my day! Genuine happiness and also without a cell phone! Awesome!! 🤩
haha I thought the same thing!!! that's a genuine feeling, I'm sure the guy will cherish this memory forever
Yeah Robert is a badass going out into the crowd like that! While still playing and keeping his balance🤘🏼
Cant blame.. id be starstruck even
Gosh how much I LOVE Wherever I May Roam. This song will forever be in my top 3. The solo is forever the iconic wah solo.🔥
Metallica en vivo siempre fué increíble
I was at this concert, It was incredible, best time of my life.
I was there with my 13 year old daughter for her birthday!!! This was the best present I could have ever given her!
4:03 love that guy all in awe seeing Robert!
And the earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
Under wandering stars I've grown
By myself but not alone
I ask no one
I'm in this video at 2:24. The dude in the hat right next to the big dude in the Bills jersey.
30 years and this song sounds amazing.
I have seen You Guys
9 Times!!!!
Boston Massachusetts to Honolulu Hawaii.
I even turned my Ex-husband on to the baddest Band.
We were a Navy family so this song was one of ours.
We're we layded our head eas home
We wonded for sure!!!!
Столько лет в месте практически с бессмертным составом и выглядят как будто им по 20 лет заряжены энергичны и всегда готовы дать мировой тур молодцы мужики так и надо и пусть остальные завидуют молча
@Metallica
My friend of misery in Mexico would sound perfect. Mexico foro sol 27 - 29 september 2024
Metallica the best!!!! ❤❤
Whoooooo Yeah Mann, alright!!! I LOVE you guys !!!!WHOOO!!!!!!!!! -CHRIS FARLEY " I'LL BE YOUR ROBIN AND ROCK WITH YOU ANYTIME BROTHAS!!!" Frankie wherever I may roam!
1:45 Nice t-shirt :-)
Wow, James' voice still sounds killer!
@@StanJenkins_ Yeah really
The oldtimer with a perfect sound only have in metallica band... Whos agree raise up your hand
james is in such good shape both physically and mentally! he killed it at this show!
The Voice Is Still The Same Frequency of Early 80's...Damn Awesome...🙏❤️🔥
It’s better, much better.
I usually don't like live versions of this song but this was pretty good. Kirk nailed the solo
Byłem na koncercie i było super wszystko było wspaniałe fajerwerki i to wszystko było wspaniałe🎉
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Metallica Gresik 🤘🤘🤘
Could we agree that in more than 40 years they have maintained an intact technique and attitude? Kirk masters this guitar solo so perfectly that he makes it look easy to do in that style.
In their 60s and still kicking ass and showing new bands how its done.
Incredible, the 4 guys are delivering incredible performances.
And kudos to the sound engineers...the sound is crisp and loud.
My favorite song of black album
Metallica gets better and better each time you listen to them, it's crazy, those live versions are astounding.
This must’ve been edited because I initially remember Lars missing a snare note at 1:23 when I was there for the second concert at ford field
i was there too and its not missing in my recording of the song
They still look awesome after all these years!
Love the solo on WIMR. One of Kirk's best, for sure
Nice shirt, Kirk!
I love that this video kept the part in about not being able to figure out a good ending. Incredible show and one of the greatest moments of my life.
The mic got knocked over like 3 times during the show. I don't know if it was rowdy fans too close to the edge or what.
Kirk gave his soul into the ending solo
❤🖤❤🤘🤘🤘
who ever did the mixing was a genius and deserve ultra bonus for it.. the quality streches beyond a studio album
I like Metallica from Thailand
look at the power of the james'voice!! i need to see you next year guys
Was literally playing this song like 4 hours before this. Gotta love it when the world gives you this! Loving the M72 videos, since I could never afford to go to a show
I was there!
Enjoyed seeing younger generations enjoy great music!!!
"My body lies but I still roam" - every single human soul reading this roams, and you do what you want. It's just a matter of time until you find this out for yourself.
It's absolutely fantastic to see and listen to Wherever I May Roam getting so much love and energy and passion on this tour! One of Metallica's best songs hands down!
It's Heavy, It's Metal, and Heavy Metal it's Metallica 🤘
There arent cellphones like concert in México Woow 😮
Metallica the Best Band in the world! 🤘
Metallica is just in a class of there own. Phenomenal
I honestly don’t even know how, but Metallica keeps on getting better as this tour goes on! 🤘🎸
I wouldn’t say better, they’re holding on but Kirk can’t play hardly any of the solos with out fucking up or making up some shitty improvised repetitive sound. They still got it fs, but they’re not “improving”
This is my favourite Metallica song ❤
I'm in love with this song 🤟🤘
I love Metallica🤟🤘
Thank you Metallica
Yes I'm still listening When I Drive in full Video Yes Love it very much Metallica Bands forever ❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉
4:05 Rob's roaming platform is wobbly, balancing become another challenge. Imagine you play your bass in the middle mini quake
Frigging epic as usual! As a fan that hasn't been able to attend any concert for the past 25 years due to real life issues, I love seeing these videos. The sound and quality are so amazing it almost feels like I am at the venue.
Yep. The microphones and the reverb captured every detail like the audience singing like they are all around you. The mixing is close to being muddy but I think that's intentional on the part of whoever the tech. High quality headphones are necessary to enjoy the audio.
Best ending version of Wherever I May Roam
ライブ録音とは思えないほどの完成度だと思います。ただ聞き惚れていられる。
I was at this show. This and King Nothing (which they didn't play this night, sadly) are my favorite songs from Metallica.
I was at both these nights at Detroit. It was insane!
Lucky dog🤘
Truly the best song from the best band ! 😎✌️
Best song on the album but Disposable Heroes, Master of Puppets, Creeping Death, and Ride the Lightning are their best songs in my opinion
Agreed always loved this song. James at his lyrical best this song makes me feel like I could run through a wall when I’m at the gym.
One of the top 3 professional bands in the history of MUSIC!!!!!!!!! Fact!!!
The ending camera shots really intensified the ending
This song is an anthem.
Whoa. Kirk nailed every note of the solo just like the album
They played this song 1,582 times on tour .
First song to hear by Metallica back in 1991 and the song the got me hooked on everything metallica.
one of your best 🎸
Hearing this on COD MW2 Campaign trailer was so awesome what great piece!!!
Am #1 FAN of Metallica
I had the privilege to be at this show and the Friday show. Needless to say, it's a weekend I'll never forget. Thank you, Metallica!🤘
Metallica....for ever
I been sayin this in every Detroit video… 😂 but I WAS THERE!
Me too!It was my first ever concert!
same !! was so close to it was insane. this was like my 3rd or 4th rock concert compared to the rap concerts i’ve been to previously and it’s insane how much nicer/caring the crowds are at rock concerts compared to rap.
Metálica é sensacional. Músicas antigas com arranjos maravilhosos. Quanta energia eles têm. TE AMO METÁLICA. TE AMO MUITO JAMES. KISSES! VENHAM NO ROCK RIO. QUEREMOS VE-LOS OUTRA VEZ. O BRASIL AMA VOCÊS.
James' voice recovery after the 2000's disaster is really good.
9 Detroit Metallica Concerts stood outside of Ticket Master for 3 days one time just to get Main floor Tickets they used to sell out within first 20 sec
@@Hank--Mardukas I had 3 people standing in line with me back in the early 90s we got 15 main floor tickets
@@Hank--Mardukas I also sold enough weed in that ticket line to pay for half the tickets 🤷🏻♂️ it all worked out
2 words for the crowd: well done. Metallica was on top of there game this night
All of these new intro tapes for this tour are awesome!!
Love that kirt T-shirt PlayStation ❤
Однс из самых любимых. Люблю рулить под нее.❤❤❤
who's excited about Metallica cover and original songs about love and all songs by metal heads up in Hillsdale and Jackson Michigan state of Michigan, rock on days and see you at nights. original songs feel better and cover of Tuesday's gone and Mama said are great. There's no reason to hate Metallica they are doing well please let them know you dig it.
This song always been my favorite track from the "Black Album"
This live version just kicked my f'ing @ss
Могу только добавить...
Вы великие и единственные !!!
Yeah
?!
James sounds so tight and well in this one, he was having difficulty in singing this song a few years ago, it’s great to see him like this.
I think the most amazing thing about metallica concerts are their fans. The energy is just amazing.
Metallica makes me feel good, when I at earlier felt bad. Thank you! ❤❤❤
Sorry, I'm not good in english.
🤘🐍🤘
Love Kirks “PlaySatan” shirt
Damn - his solo was spot on!
Pray2Satan i believe it says
somehow i still hear the orchestra even if it is not there, Michael Kamen was an OG Jedi Master, the SyM1 arrangements elevated the songs so much!
