very nice but way too cold for me, i once went to Chiang Rai and it was so cold we were going into 7/11 to warm up!!....only joking of course the view from the hotel was wonderful, but i agree, the beauty of the area was early morning and sunset the food looked delicious (you know Khao Soi is my favourite) i wish they sold North Western specialities in more places in Southern Thailand, i don't fancy going to the cold areas to enjoy it!! take care both, and drive safe Dave

We were there in December 2023. It was an awful road to drive up there in the car we rented. When we arrived it was very windy. Everything up there was expensive. It was a beautiful look, but we went to PAI, which was a great decision. Would we go back? Yes, the day money means nothing to us.
@Market Squeezer Hello, the road to Ban Rak Thai quite dangerous Must drive carefully. 4,000 curves to reach, challenging and fun. You are right if you choose a restaurant for tourists. The price will not be cheap. If you can eat at a restaurant that isn't fancy, the prices won't be expensive. Mostly me and Dave. I will choose to eat at a normal restaurant. The taste is delicious😋👍 and I still have money left over. On the next trip If you go back next time must try the restaurant. that local people can use the service The price will be cheaper. Street food isn't bad☺️🙏
