Freddie King/Jeff Beck - Going Down (feat.

The first of two collaborations I did with my former college professor/mentor and now friend, Dr. ‪@joeburnsphd9387‬ ! This man taught me so much while I was in college, a lot of things I'm still practicing in my everyday life. He pushed my creativity. Like me, he has a love of all kinds of music, and even hosts a podcast with his wife called "Rock School", where I learn a lot from.
I approached him about the idea of collaborating, and after several months, we met up on Friday, July 28, and recorded two songs. The first one you see here is a tribute to three guitar giants who are sadly all gone, Freddie King, Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen. There are no lyrics, but we hope we make up for it in our playing! I had a lot of fun getting to play with someone in person and talk through our guitars.
