You’re strong Tyler, you’ll get through this. Just stay positive. I did have some ear ringing when I went to a concert in December but thankfully I didn’t get tinitus even though I didn’t wear hearing protection.

I’m glad you made this closure vid and I’m glad you didn’t have vertigo and I’m glad you found a way to live with it.
It’s interesting how we can adjust to something once we accept what we can’t change.
You’re strong and I hope others who might have it will find peace after watching this vid.

Hi there, After listening to your story (all three videos), I really appreciate you sharing the message, that it will get better!
I am a tinnitus therapist, and I have to say, that your ENT sadly belongs to the majority of health care providers, who still claim that tinnitus becomes "permanent" after a certain time. Tinnitus is a symptom and not a condition, even if it was induced through loud noise, the fact that it persisted indicates that there are other contributing factors, that are asking to be addressed.
You seem to be taking care of yourself really well in this process, and I can confirm: be active, eat well (cover your amino acids, look for the most bioavailable nutrients), ditch all the supplements, address any physical issues (such as neck tension, TMJ pain, hip tightness, knee pain...), get into a healthy sleeping pattern, manage your mental health and stress levels, and try to find and eliminate any triggers with a simple tinnitus tracking journal.

Have you checked your High Frequency (over 8khz) hearing? Sometimes that could be the culprit, that's why up to 8khz everything comes out normal but you still have tinnitus. Glad you are doing better, acceptance is key!

By the way, I know everybody has a different experience with Tinnitus, but PLEASE be careful around loud music, even with adequate hearing protection. I've had a couple of bad spikes after concerts and my Tinnitus went from totally manageable to a living nightmare. I have been protecting my ears since it started, but for some reason it hasn't been enough (and my hearing tests are still in the norm). Enjoy you life, enjoy music but stay smart, don't go in the front row and bring a sound meter (apps available on your phone) to always check the noise levels!

@@tehblizzYes agreed, my hearing is good up to 8000hz

Thanks for sharing your experience. Age 42 I developed it during severe stress and trauma on 29th March 2023. 1.3 years now with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis sound sensitivity. No hearing loss or near perfect hearing upto 8000hz. Blood pressure okay. The fridge, freezer, cistern, all somehow exacerbate it. Quiet rooms are horrid. Some days I'm suicidal. Others i can ignore it. Alcohol/beer helps. Sound therapy at nights. What sound therapy do you use? I don't play loud music. Paranoid it'll get worse or something.
    Thanks

Listen,I´m from Gerrmany so sorry for my Bad Englisch.I git Tinituss for 2 Months now.Mine is reactive to I think. It reacts to the water tap the toilet flush to music sometimes.I still got very very Bad Days .4 Weeks ago I can´t take a shower without Ear Protection i cant use the vacuum cleaner without Ear Protection .My T sounds like crickets and turn to a very high Pitch whistling when its to Loud.I Meditate a lot to let my Nervous System calm down.I expose myself bit by bit to Sounds. Not to Loud Sounds Btw. Its like A Training.I now can take Showers without Ear Protection use teh Vacuum Cleaner without.Going Outside Without .On Friday i was going to swim where it was normal loud becuase of 200 to 300 people are there.I was Scared as Fuck to Go there but i did it ,i did it without Ear protection and nothing Happens it was ok.I know it Sounds Easy but try to dont be Scared to Much and Expose your Ears to Normal Sounds Bit By Bit.I got somE Dark Days to and Nothing is the same sinc 2 Months but i try to stray Positive.Thats what I Do maybe it WORKS for you to.
