I think you hit the nail right on the head with this video Tony! I would also add that buying speakers based solely on measurements done by speaker "reviewers" isn't the best thing either. Measuring a speaker in a test setting might reveal some useful info, but it does not tell you how good or bad a speaker will sound in your room, and if it'll will appeal to your personal tastes. So like you said, you really won't know what is the right speaker until you hear it for yourself. Thankfully there are multiple retailers in the US where you can buy speakers and test them for 30-45 days, and return them with no restocking charge if you aren't happy.
Tony you mindreader looking to upgrade my Neuphonix and epicentrix fronts.People telling me go Ascendo Monitor audio Patadigm etc etc but you hit the nail in the head you got to do the hard yards and demo what’s available in your budget, thanks for the info
The Neupho/Epicen combo is literally my favourite set of speakers I own. I love my dedicated room and the sound the MX-10s make is incredible but I love that combo.
Great video as always Tony, I'm a huge krix fan myself. Frothed at the mx40 reveal over here in WA at West coast hifi Midland. In my theatre I run and all M&K set up, s150 and s150t surounds. I aspire to biuld my own home theatre speakers based on the MX range
I'm having real trouble in deciding my receiver , I like the onkyo brand also Denon. I have a budget of about 1k approx. I think my room is ok with a 5.1 .2 or 4 Atmos. Onkyo seems to be cheaper option
Great video Tony. You are dead right about different brands of speakers, it's a personal choice. There are brands of speakers that I loathe, but others love.
A baffle wall provides ... an infinite baffle. Sound gets send into the Room like a ball that gets bigger at bigger, atleast at loswer frequencies. With an Infinite Baffle now you have only one half of the Ball. That means that you have more Energy moving in the way you want it to move and also there are way troublesome reflexions in the room. This helps with #1 Efficiency. Youre speakers just are louder with the same amount of energy pumped it. and #2 Dynamic. As they get more Efficient they are capable of more dynamic at higher volumes. There are some more diffrences but those 2 are the big ones. With the 2 Subs in the wall u also have a SBA which is something diffrent then a Baffle wall but works best in Addition to a baffle wall. a SBA takes advantage that waves can ride on one another. Making a wave bigger. So these kinda setups take advantage that the one ball that gets bigger and bigger combines with another ball and results in a big wave that goes from one end to the room to the other. Helping with alot of Room problems ( most of the time ).
Not really sure... I think Krix were the first to come up with this concept having developed it well before other brands including Klipsch who do the BTS but it's not the same in terms of finish and execution.
Very Nice system. U right get what Ur wallet can get. Not try to buy what some1 else has and try to top them. If it's right for ur ears buy it and be happy..🙂
One day I hope they will get there… Krix knows but sorry I don’t feel sorry for you guys 😂 try loving in Australia and then you will see underserved when it comes to variety and more so… pricing

Well said mate. Some people don't have the luxury to test out so looking at some common sense things can help too.
Your energy for home cinema is fantastic..
Thanks! I love this hobby for sure!
the best speakers are those that you can afford
And sounds good to you ..👍🏽
I think there are plenty of speakers within a price range, so sometimes having a listen is the best thing.
@@wezzman1 Definitely 👌🏾
I use klipsch great video.
Budget and your own ears are everything, great video mate.

Would love to see a video on the new Krix amp you mentioned and any improvements it made to your setup from a sound quality perspective.
I have actually recorded most of that video, so it's possible I will finish it and publish it soon!
Mega! Can't wait!

Thanks 🙏 that’s how I see it too
I 100% agree with you , great video mate
Thanks 👍
0:25 I've never heard of brand Zed. They sound interesting. Maybe they're not sold here in America. 🤷♂️
Great sounding speaker's Brand-Zed - highly recommended.

I'm really keen on the mx10, have to find somewhere in Melbourne to go hear them
Plenty of places - Selby is the first one to come to mind.
Ideal video for the situation I am currently in ;)
I hope it helps
what would be a comparable brand for KRix in the USA that does the same modular speaker wall?
klipsch rcc but price x2
@@vadym4810 anything not klipsch?

Most of Krix stuff has Typhanny / Peerless drivers.
I’m just going to say it… love the content…
😔

First. I figured this video was going to be a short. Simple answer krix lol joking looks amazing
Nah not a short. And the answer may surprise you actually…
I know it's not part of your job. But would you please tell KRIX to distribute to the under-served peeps in the U.S.A. I am jealous. Thanks. :- )

Good video
Thanks for the visit
We all know that bigger is always better. After all, there's no replacement for displacement.
Big speakers in a tiny room can be a disservice... I woud love Krix MX-40 in my room but they would be completely pointless.
