Can't wait to see how the body comes out frosted. I had the same idea but haven't even started the build yet. I did find myself a clear servo case which will be a nice added touch. Oh and a stainless steel screw set is a must. Not the black hardware that comes with the kit.
You can try using Tamiya Polishing Compound to buff out the scratches. I recommend cutting out the extra bits and try the compound on them before attempting it on the actual body to see how it turns out first.
The body issue is a pretty easy solve for AE. I have about half a dozen NIB RC10s including an original one from 1985. The only ones with body damages are from the latest ReRe. It can be mitigated by packing parts bags between the body and chassis. The chassis also has pretty sharp edges where they die-cut it. They need to break this edge in production but that would require an extra step which probably is not going to happen. Also, I have painted my scratched body with clear pearl and the scratches do not go away entirely.
That is awfully big hearted of you, considering these are limited. I have painted bodies with scuffing like that on them and, they turned out aright, I couldn't see the scuffs anymore. Ummm, gotta admit I put the scuffs there with my Dremel, face palm!
Nice to see you got one from the early drop 👍 hopefully they take notice of the body issue when they drop the gold pan and turn the chassis upside down, looks like that would help ? But yeah, the 6 gear has to be coming, the molds are there 😁
My body was scratched too, pretty disappointing considering it will be staying clear, good thing I have another mint body, but still, how can bodies arrive in the last rere no damage but now damaged, lesser quality chassis with sharp edges is the answer.
Yeah I got my one the other day and the body had scuff marks on it🤨 also the bushings are a none standard size and quite a few are flanged so it makes replacement bearing quite hard to find!
The big head and the sub on the thumbnail is hilarious - shame with the kits, had an order in for one but they never called - maybe if they release more I’ll bother
@@RCKickschannel I'm sure that edge needs to be deburred so it won't take off paint once it's built. I guess it won't matter if it's a shelf queen. Can't wait to see the build...
Always wanted one of these but the clear...not really my cup of tea BUT, I was wondering if they can be dyed? Those scratches on the body should NEVER had happened! That is a big f up on the part of TA. Especially on a kit of that caliber! Personally I think you should keep it because you are going to regret it if you don't. Merry Christmas to you and your family my friend!
I don’t run my RC cars much and prefer the build over running, but I do like to run them sometimes which has me on the fence for this one. I hope your teaser on the championship car is real. I think they could also do a new Re-Re and just do the 1993 Worlds car again because it has the Stealth transmission. It would be cool if they do the silver shocks and leave the chassis silver as well. I’m not a fan of black anno because it looks like crap after a few runs
Quite expensive kit to get a scuffed up body, wouldnt matter to much in a runner, as it looks it will probably be scuffed during driving and get damaged paint in that areas? Anyway thank you for taking a look, the transparent parts really look intresting for a change.
You're right, it looks really odd seeing those parts as clear rather than the normal ones. And the way they've packed it is pretty stupid too. Also, hearing about issues with the car, it seems like a slightly half-arsed effort. Personally I'm not keen on it, I'd much rather have a 'proper' one.....
I'm not sure who decided at what point we all decided we're going to call them Re-Re's but, good lord it makes me cringe to listen to grown men say it.

You’re not the only one. I’ve seen several others who’ve had scratched bodies
Boom! So nice. They should have put the bodies in bags 😐 can’t wait for the build! I’m very excited.

I like it and I hope it's not the last cc! Yesterday I started to build mine😉
Gavin I am in the united states. I have entered your raffle and if I win I am more than happy to pay the shipping. Thank you for the opportunity.
I still enjoy your content! Keep up the good work Gavin!
I appreciate that!
Very nice my friend! Merry Christmas to you!
If I had this kit, I would dip all the clear pieces in RIT dye and custom the bloody hell out of it!!!!!❤
Excited for you Gavin 😊
I do like it but I will wait for the Goldpan rere.
I donated a few dollars to your raffle bud. 🤞
Good luck and thanks for helping out the show!!
I imagine mounting some strategically-placed RGB LEDs could have a very cool effect when it can shine through most of the car
Same, be first in the world to do that.

Have a good Christmas! Peppermint Patty Mid build looks good :)
@@RCKickschannel you to Gav, ive gona against the peppermint, no time to wait to sort it. So white it is 😂
They need to sort out the scratching issues before I'd buy it at that price.
Next batch will have the chassis placed in the box upside down I would guess.

Perfect for a shelf queen collector! Merry Christmas you animal!

I don’t really get the clear RC10. I have the original re-re and the Worlds re-re. Why not bring one of those back out?
Keep an eye out in 2024
I would have liked to see the tires in white rubber.
Did the RC-10 graphite ever include the stealth gear box? I remember mine had to be upgraded to have the newer gear box.
That jj car looks like they're 28th scale stuff
Lol. It is odd scale next to that mid huh. I tried to figure out why and I think the foam block has one more layer under it.
Nice one Gavin , putting that up for a prize , it would have looked good in your collection . Happy Christmas to you and your family .

That sharp ridge looks to me like a structural improvement. Maybe? Why didn't they just flip the chassis upside down Inside the body for shipping?
Yep that would have fixed the issue

Eeek the 6 gear trans😮💨

Jack of Trades RC channel got his replacement body quickly. If you paint the box one you probably won’t be able to tell
Great Video! Have you got or have you ever considered the Tamiya DB01?

Cool 😊 Gav my man, do you prefer Team Associated before Schumacher? 😊

You shouldn’t give that to me. I would build and drive it. Yolo
OK, I won’t 🤔😜

Silly mistake by TA. Most reviews are reporting the same issue. Hope mine is OK...
If the chassis was put in upside down, it wouldn't have been an issue.
Not sure I'd buy this one but definitely in for the raffle ❤
Looks like theyre going t follow up with a 1/28 scale replica of Halseys car??/. No thanks
