When buying a player you talk to the club and pay them a sum for the player transfer, but you also have to talk to the player himself to sign a contract between him and your club, this includes how long he will play, how many games, how important his role is, bonuses for goals scored for example and so on. You have to do this each time you buy a player from a club ;) Setting up a youth academy I think is also super fun l, it can cost a fair bit but you get access to some great kids for cheap, can sell them easily for a good bit and you don't have to go through the whole scout negotiate thing

In terms of training plan i would recommend individually setting each players plan after each match i know its tedious and can get annoying but each player has different rates at which their energy/sharpness decrease so if you set one training plan to everyone you might have a couple players always low on energy but always high on sharpness and vice versa so better to make sure each guy is always peaked at both or at least close to their peak sharpness and energy

Also make sure you keep tabs on your objectives that the club sets for you and ensure that your are meeting those goals otherwise you will be in danger of getting sacked. You also need to talk to your player that you just signed to negotiate a contract for them and for how many years. Also maybe for big games like the Manchester derby or games against top teams you can spectate in “tactical view” so you can get the full experience and make subs that you actually want to make. Finally make sure you do the presss conferences to keep team morale up good luck LP🙏

I’ve played career mode for a while, some players that are great on fifa and not that expensive are, doku from city, Calvert Lewin from Everton, collins from Dortmund, Laimer from rb Leipzig. Edit: you can approach doku again after a few weeks after they reject

Another tip: if you make an offer to another team and they dont accept it keep that player in your shortlist and advance maybe a week and you will be able to make another offer

To scout a player you want to select them by pressing “a” then select “ask so and so (the name of your scout) to scout this player” then the game will tell u how long it will take to fully scout the player which will take around a couple weeks after that you will see that player in your “detailed info” tab which you can then add to your transfer hub to approach to buy
