They're doing this as a part of Metallica's first ever marching band competition. They're definitely going to see it.

what's with the guns?
Have you never seen a marching band perform with a color guard or drill team? They almost always perform with rifles. Don't worry. They are replicas. Nobody is going to get hurt.
They are part of something called Color Guard - they are usually chunks of wood, primarily visual replicas
